This is my one-month review of implant-free rhinoplasty. I’m writing this in case it can help anyone like me, even a little~!
-----> 1-month status <-----
I didn’t have an osteotomy, and the surgery was done using septal cartilage + ear cartilage + ear fascia to cover the area where the dorsal hump was slightly shaved down.
The first week after surgery was really hard.. Maybe because of the aftereffects of surgery, I also caught a runny-nose cold, so at night I couldn’t breathe properly, my nose was completely blocked, and I couldn’t sleep well 😭 Even when wiping my runny nose, I was super careful not to touch the inside of my nose, and that was surprisingly exhausting too.. lol
Right now, I have a slight pain in my ear, and when I rubbed the inner corners of my eyes, I felt a mild dull ache around the glabellar area? My nose still feels like only half of it is mine.
A few days ago, I went for my 1-month consultation. Because my nasal tip moves depending on my facial expressions, and I originally had slight left-right asymmetry, the nasal tip feels like it bends slightly toward the tighter side. But since it’s still only been 1 month, Director Kim Da-alm didn’t really bring it up first, so when I asked, “Doesn’t it look crooked?” he said that right now it looks crooked because of my facial expression.... For now, I’m planning to watch it until the 3-month mark. The tightness of the line from the nasal alar area to the nasal tip also still seems different, maybe because of swelling.
Compared with my previous whining-looking nose, even though it’s only been one month, overall it looks more defined and smooth, the lines have formed, and especially when I take photos from the side, I feel more confident!! (Before, side-profile photos were seriously stressful, but now from the side, it feels like you could balance on the bridge of my nose 🥹 ♥︎ )
Before, because of my cartilaginous dorsal hump, even when I smiled it looked bumpy and uneven, but now the line is smooth, so I’m most satisfied with that hehe I had gone into it thinking I shouldn’t expect much effect from the front view, but my bulbous nose improved a lot more, and my overall impression feels cleaner too.
I’ll come back to share a 3-month review too~! If someone says they’re getting implant-free cosmetic surgery, I’d recommend this plastic surgery clinic to my acquaintances :) If you’re curious about the price, please leave a private comment~!
