Nose Surgery Reviews

Hump Nose, Arrow Nose, 1 Month After Surgery

I had always been bothered because I had a slight hump nose and arrow nose for a long time, and I especially didn’t like my side profile when taking photos, so it became a complex of mine and I decided to have nose surgery. I learned about RU Plastic Surgery through an acquaintance, and when the consultant in charge explained things to me, she went through everything one by one calmly without making me feel pressured, so I was able to have the consultation comfortably. I also felt that the fact that the nasal tip would not be fixed rigidly later but would be able to move was a big advantage. The consultant and Director Kim Hyun-joo said I had a deviated septum, so to improve nasal obstruction, we decided to do rhinitis surgery together as well. The surgical plan was to combine deviated septum correction surgery, use silicone for the nasal bridge, and use autologous costal cartilage for the remaining nasal tip and cartilage areas. They said that if the nasal bridge was raised naturally by only about 2–3 mm, the hump nose would naturally disappear, and that for the arrow nose, they would slightly lift the nasal tip to create a softer line. The first 2 days after rhinoplasty were really difficult, but after the cotton packing inside my nose was removed 2 days later, it got a little better. The bruising was not as severe as I expected, and I don’t think the swelling was very severe either. And after the splint was removed a week later and the swelling went down a bit, I was able to wear makeup right away, and the nose shape I wanted came out exactly, so I was very satisfied. People around me also told me a lot that it looked “natural” and “pretty,” so I became more confident, and I really think it was a good choice.
