After just lurking in this community for months, I’m finally posting. I’m originally very sensitive and picky, so I went to dozens of consultations, then ended up not doing it and giving up, over and over. Then I went to Bymin through an acquaintance’s recommendation, and in the end I even had the surgery.
Before surgery, my main concern about my nose was that, when viewed from the front, it looked wide and spread out, which was honestly my biggest complex; Should I say it felt like my nose was pressed down? It had presence, but somehow that made it look even more spread out.
And I didn’t just want my nose to be made higher no matter what, so honestly my conditions were pretty strict. Absolutely no upturned nose, no nose that looks long, and no semi-scooped shape or overly straight look either... Even I think I’m too picky lol
The look I wanted was a subtle straight-with-slight-curve feeling, with the nasal tip definitely rounded, while still clearly improving the frontal view, and absolutely no obvious “had work done” look. All of that had to be possible.
I knew it was difficult, but I felt that if those conditions couldn’t be met, it would be better just not to do it.
The reason I decided on rhinoplasty was that I had gone to consultations at other places too, but when I talked about what I wanted, it felt like they just kept saying, “We’ll make it look natural,” so I wondered whether they were really looking at my nose properly..;
At Bymin, the director first explained why my current nose looked wide from the front and why it had that pressed-down feeling. When I talked about what I wanted too, I said one by one that I disliked an upturned nose, didn’t want it to look long, and disliked a semi-scooped shape, and they explained, “Then we can do it this way,” and “It’s possible for these reasons,” so for the first time I felt I could really trust them, and that’s why I decided on surgery.
The material used was autologous costal cartilage, and they said harvesting the rib cartilage would take around 10 minutes. In reality, it didn’t put much strain on my whole body, and recovery was on the faster side. Now, about a month later, the incision mark is barely visible.
Also, even though the swelling hasn’t completely gone down yet, it really looks different from both the front and the side. The biggest thing is that the spread-out, pressed-down feeling is gone, and the nasal tip looks rounded and naturally finished. From the side, the straight-with-slight-curve line is there but doesn’t look artificial, and there’s no upturned-nose feeling and it doesn’t look long either.
I’ll have to keep watching the progress, but honestly I’m pretty satisfied right now haha There seem to be some people looking for reviews of Bymin Plastic Surgery, so I’m leaving this review in case it helps as a reference.
