They said they would raise the nasal tip with costal cartilage, correct the bulbous nose = remove fat, slightly refine the hump, and perform osteotomy. They said not to use an implant and not to put anything in the nasal bridge. They said that even just projecting the nasal tip forward would make a dramatic difference, and that they would use costal cartilage, not septal cartilage or ear cartilage. They said that this is necessary to ideally project the columella forward, and that it would be difficult to create the ideal appearance with septal cartilage or ear cartilage. They said the ear cartilage would just be placed on the nasal tip, like a shield graft. I’m thinking of putting myself on the surgery candidate list.
