I went for a consultation about nasal implant/material removal, and honestly, I’m conflicted. I went there thinking about nose removal, but honestly, I kept thinking it would be a waste to remove everything;; My old nose being big and low was a complex of mine, so I got it fixed, but this time I thought it ended up much higher and more unnatural than I expected, you know? But after the surgery, the nasal tip dropped a little, and I thought, “Is it finally getting a bit lower as the swelling goes down?” But that wasn’t it... It had just dropped slightly.. So they said if I’m thinking about revision surgery, I would actually need to raise it instead....
I went there, got a CT scan, had a needs consultation with the consultant, and they recommended either complete removal or revision surgery. For now, I asked if it could be lowered just a little, and they said that isn’t possible because it’s not easy to do. They said it would be better to take everything out and reconstruct it again instead. But the reconstruction method was a bit unusual. Did they say they rotate some cartilage? So that it prevents the nasal tip from dropping and so on, but I don’t really remember well. Anyway, I went because I wanted to lower it, but they said after revision surgery it would actually be higher, so I thought revision surgery probably isn’t it, said I’d think about it for now, and left. Could you possibly give me some opinions..?
For my nose surgery, I had ear cartilage for the nasal tip, a nasal strut, and osteotomy. But the osteotomy seemed like it was done a bit unusually in my case. It seems they didn’t break the nasal bridge and bring the bones together, but just shaved down some bone instead. So they kept asking whether I really had osteotomy done.
