Male Revision Rhinoplasty + Crooked Nose Asymmetry Correction: 2-Week Review

Before revision rhinoplasty, my nose had a low bridge and the tip looked like a hump nose. The bridge and tip were deviated to the right, which made my facial asymmetry look more pronounced, and I wanted to improve those areas. I liked that the plastic surgery clinic was run by a single director. I also went to consultations at other hospitals, and I heard that Director Kim Hyun-joo is one of the doctors who uses autologous costal cartilage well. Since I had previously undergone surgery for a deviated septum, I needed to use either autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage, and the fact that they professionally use autologous costal cartilage a lot was one of the reasons I chose this plastic surgery clinic. Both Director Kim Hyun-joo and the consultant were kind and gave me a thorough consultation. In the before-and-after surgical photos, the noses matched most closely with the look I was aiming for, so I ended up choosing this plastic surgery clinic. I had revision rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage and silicone. I asked for a height that was not too flashy, a rounded nasal tip, and improved symmetry. After surgery, I was really happy that the symmetry of my nose had been corrected. My nostrils had also been different on each side, but after surgery both nostrils became symmetrical. It is really amazing. My nasal septum had been quite damaged, but they said they repaired it well through surgery, and although it is before removing the silicone support, I feel like breathing has become better than before. It has not even been 2 weeks since surgery yet, so there is still swelling, and I do not think the shape of the nasal dorsum/tip is complete yet. For now, I am really satisfied just with the symmetry being corrected.
