Male Rhinoplasty: Nasolabial Angle Correction and Long-Nose Correction, 2 Weeks

[2-week review] The reason I decided to have surgery was that I was concerned about my bulbous nose, so I decided to undergo male rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage to improve it. Since I’m a cautious person, I went to consultations at several places and searched YouTube and Naver for information about the nose shape I wanted. During that process, I found two before-and-after reviews that I liked the most, and both were cases done at the same plastic surgery clinic, so I went in for a consultation. After consulting with Director Kim Hyun-joo, I was told that in addition to the bulbous nose, my nasal tip was drooping, so I would need long-nose correction, and since my nasolabial angle was recessed, it would be better to proceed with nasolabial angle correction as well. So I decided to go ahead that way, and on the same day I decided to have rhinoplasty, set a date, and made a reservation. Regarding the material, other places said that calcification of my autologous costal cartilage had progressed and that I probably wouldn’t be able to use it, but the director here said there would be no problem and that autologous costal cartilage is the safest method for rhinoplasty, so I proceeded with autologous costal cartilage! I’m currently at week 2, and there is still a lot of swelling, so I’m not sure yet how much the bulbous nose has improved. However, as the nasolabial angle has been corrected, my side profile and the impression that looked dull have improved. As I requested from the beginning, my nose line has been formed naturally, and people around me are saying that my impression has changed 180 degrees!!! I hope the swelling in my nasal tip and glabella area goes down soon so that a little more three-dimensional definition shows!
