15 years ago: Gore-Sil, Gore-Tex silicone, and tip surgery with autologous cartilage. There’s no inflammation or contracture, but calcification is developing in the Gore-Silicone and showing uneven bumps, and I’m worried that it may keep building up or that my skin will thin over time. Since there’s no pain, inflammation, or contracture, I’m torn between waiting a bit longer and doing it right away. I’d appreciate any revision surgery experience or advice. If I do it, I’m wondering whether to remove it or do reconstruction, and I’m also worrying about what material to use.
