Has anyone had donated costal cartilage removed from the nasal tip...? I had surgery with silicone in the nasal bridge and donated costal cartilage plus ear cartilage in the nasal tip. One hospital said donated costal cartilage is safer than silicone, so they suggested leaving it as is, while at PRM they said if you leave the donated costal cartilage in place or remove and reuse it, inflammation can occur, so it absolutely has to be removed. I'm conflicted... I had hump osteotomy and even 4 mm of silicone inserted, so I'm worried it will become extremely low after removal, but if I also remove the donated costal cartilage from the nasal tip, it will look even lower, right...
