Columellar Strut? Removal

Hello. 3 years ago, because of nasal obstruction, I had surgery at a university hospital for correction of a deviated nasal septum and nasal valve reconstruction. The surgery was done through collaboration between ENT and plastic surgery. The day before surgery, the plastic surgery side asked if I wanted to remove the hump as well while they were at it, so I impulsively did it. I didn’t know until now, but even as time passed, there was a foreign-body sensation and my nose felt hard, so I visited an ENT clinic, and they said there is cartilage inside my nose as a columellar strut… When removing a hump, do they normally put cartilage in the nasal tip without separately telling you? At the time, the doctor asked if I wanted an implant, and I absolutely did not put in an implant…
