I’m looking into implant-free rhinoplasty, but the more I learn, the more confused I get… ㄴㅌ - ㄱㄱㅎ My septum is on the small side, so they recommended donated costal cartilage or autologous costal cartilage Since it’s my first nose surgery, they recommended donated costal cartilage more Diagnosis details Donated costal cartilage, a little septal cartilage, ear cartilage for the nasal tip, correction of a drooping-tip nose (they said they would weaken some muscle) They said they would raise the nasal tip, put septal cartilage in the step-off area, and lightly place MegaDerm on top of that + actual fee The cost is expensive for a first nose surgery ㅁㅋ - ㅇㅇㅈ Originally I went after choosing Director ㅇㅈㅈ, but when I actually got there, the consultant asked what kind of nose I wanted Then said Director ㅇㅇㅈ is good at implant-free surgery, and switched me to a different director Diagnosis details They said I had enough septal cartilage, recommended septal extension and osteotomy very strongly Raise the nasal tip 2-3 mm, use ear cartilage for the angle/step-off area, and ear cartilage for the nasal tip too When I asked whether the functional part would be okay, they said my nose is a long nose, so there probably wouldn’t be any functional issues Reasonable price (probably came out lower because it wasn’t the head director) They showed me something with 3D virtual plastic surgery, but I don’t think it was even useful as a reference... If anything, it looked so bad that it put me off ㅁㅇㄷ - ㅇㄱㅇ The consultation with the consultant wasn’t great. They asked how much I had looked into, so I wondered if it was some market-price thing... The director was relatively kind Diagnosis details They said the amount of septal cartilage was small, so septal cartilage alone couldn’t be used, recommended donated costal cartilage, and recommended autologous costal cartilage the most, but since it’s also my first nose surgery and for the extent I’m doing, they said donated costal cartilage would probably have enough support strength Donated costal cartilage, septal cartilage, nasal tip correction, slightly shaving down the hump, osteotomy, removal of foreign material, nasolabial angle correction They made an after-surgery face for me with Photoshop. Compared with other clinics, they made it the easiest to understand The price was the most expensive (not much different from ㄴㅌ) It felt like the consultant gave every single thing a name and added a cost to it, so it was insanely expensive. When I asked, they said it was because it was the head director I came back after getting consultations like this, but the more I get them, the more confused I am Some places say my septal cartilage is adequate and some say the amount is insufficient, so I don’t know what’s what.. Should I look around more and just go with the place whose aesthetic matches mine?

백설기베이글 I totally relate.. I went to 6 places, and 3 said to use septal cartilage while 3 said to use donated costal cartilage. It’s so confusing Autologous costal cartilage is too expensive;;
