I had a consultation at ㅁㅇㄷ, and I liked it so much that I’m thinking of doing it there? I’m planning to go with Director ㅇㅇㅌ, and he recommended donated costal cartilage. Since it wouldn’t leave a scar on my body anyway, I was going to use donated costal cartilage, but considering absorption or contracture, is it better to use autologous costal cartilage? If I use autologous costal cartilage, does absorption not happen, and does warping not happen at all either? If anyone has had revision surgery with autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage, please let me know
최루 After weighing each of those things one by one, whether to use autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage ultimately seems to be your own choice.. First of all, if you don’t want a scar left, it seems to be donated costal cartilage; if you don’t mind a scar, autologous costal cartilage Both materials have pros and cons, so think it over carefully and choose
shinshin02 Autologous costal cartilage is good because it’s my own, but that doesn’t mean side effects don’t happen either hahaha I was scared of pneumothorax and scarring with autologous costal cartilage, so I had my revision with donated costal cartilage, and I’m saving autologous costal cartilage to use later as a last resort
피치미치포 Did you originally want to do it with rib cartilage? Or was rib cartilage what they recommended? I also need revision surgery, but I’m thinking about septal cartilage.. so I’m wondering if I should consider rib cartilage too

Reader 5 I’m so curious what you ended up doing When I first had my consultation, I mentioned autologous costal cartilage from the start, but they talked about donated costal cartilage I’m debating right now whether I should do autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage... I’ve also heard things like it gets absorbed or splits inside

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 23 Are revision surgery materials more limited?
Originally, I was going to get my eyes and nose done together, but I ended up doing only my nose first. After seeing how badly my nose turned out, I thought maybe it was a relief that I only did my nose.. haha But since I’ve already had…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 23 Revision surgery for a drooping nose
I guess you really never know when your nose will start drooping I thought the drooping was bothering me a bit, but looking at it lately, it feels like it has really drooped. It’s been 5 years since my surgery When I took photos and…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 23 Do clinics still use Medpor as a columellar strut for the nose these days?
The cartilage looks white and shows through on both side walls of my nose, so I contacted the clinic. They said it’s showing through because the tissue is healing and told me not to worry, but can ear cartilage really be that perfectly…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 23 If I want a dramatic-looking nose, does it absolutely have to be autologous costal cartilage?
My first surgery turned out natural, so I want to make it higher and more dramatic from here.. I heard revision surgeries are usually done a lot with autologous costal cartilage, but why is that? Is it just because septal cartilage or ear…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 23 Silicone removal (deciding between ㅊㅁ and ㅌㅇㅅ)
The support in my nasal tip with ear cartilage is still fine, but the silicone has shifted slightly to the side, so it looks crooked in photos. I’m thinking of removing only the silicone in the nasal bridge. When I had a consultation at…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoOct 23 I’m thinking of checking out private clinics for revision rhinoplasty too
Would places like Meㅇdㅇ and Maㅇd be considered large clinics? I didn’t think of them as that big in terms of scale, but since it’s a revision surgery, a lot of people recommended looking into private clinics rather than large ones, so I’m…
