I wanted to express my gratitude to Deohada Plastic Surgery, so I’m writing this review! I’ve only ever written reviews for Baemin before, and I’ve never really written anything like this in my life, so the flow may be messy, the context may not match, and there may be lots of wrong spellings, but please understand kindly And because I wrote everything exactly as I thought it happened, it turned into such a long post.. so I grouped it into a few big sections and summarized it with ChatGPT () and put the summary first, with my full writing below. If you want the detailed TMI, read the long version; if you’re busy, just refer to the summary! I’m using casual speech because I think this is a place where people speak casually!! If a family member or friend, or anyone I love, needed revision rhinoplasty, I would tell them to have the surgery at Deohada Plastic Surgery without even one second of hesitation. A contracted nose is also related to my body constitution and lifestyle, so even if my nose were to become a little deformed again in life, or if it became damaged again because of inflammation in my body, I would still have surgery at Deohada Plastic Surgery again. Just forever!!! I’d entrust my nose to Deohada Plastic Surgery. The reason I came to trust them this much is because the surgical result speaks for itself I was clearly hoping I could just live with an ordinary nose... but they made it this beautiful!!!!!
1️⃣ Why I had surgery I live in the provinces, and this was my third nose surgery. My first surgery was done at a local hospital when I was young, but I didn’t manage aftercare properly, so severe contracture developed and I ended up living for years with a nose that was lifted up like a pig nose. I even heard, “If it rains, water will go into your nose,” and the hurt ran deep. After that I decided on revision surgery and went up to Seoul, but the famous hospitals all refused my case. I had the revision at the one hospital that was the only one confident enough to take my surgery, and I was so moved when I saw that my nose had come down, but it wasn’t perfect. Only one side had loosened, so the tip ended up looking long and droopy, which wasn’t pretty, but it was still much better than when it was lifted. However, as time passed, the nose gradually hollowed out, and the structures seemed to shrink and collapse. I went back to having a strange nose again, and I resigned myself to it, thinking, ‘I guess nose surgery just doesn’t suit me,’ but in the end I decided on a repeat revision with the resolve that “this is the last time.” I wanted it to succeed for real this time, so I prepared thoroughly like a major project. First, I decided to quit smoking, which had been my lifelong comfort, second, I decided to personally visit 10 Seoul clinics specializing in revision surgery and get consultations. ------------------------------ I’m from the provinces and this was my third surgery. My first surgery was done in the area where I live. I was so young back then that I didn’t even do proper aftercare, and maybe because of that severe contracture developed.. my nose kept lifting more and more until I lived for years with a pig nose. The worst thing I ever heard was “Your nose looks like water would run into it if it rains.” ㅡㅡ...... sigh... I still can’t forget it.. Maybe I erased it from my memory because I was so hurt, because I can’t even remember who I heard it from.. (Or maybe I’m just so old now that I forgot..) Anyway, it got serious, so I decided on revision surgery. I’d also made a friend who was now really into cosmetic surgery, so I got some help with information and decided to have surgery in Seoul. But at that time, the famous hospitals all refused to operate on my nose...... So I couldn’t go to the popular, well-known places then, and I just ended up having surgery at the place that said they would do it among the few I consulted! Still, I was so grateful because they were the only ones back then who were confident in my nose... The revision brought a big change. What was funny was that right after the surgery ended, before the nose taping was done, the director proudly sat me up on the operating table after I woke from anesthesia, handed me a mirror, and had me confirm that my nose had come down, and even called in the friend who was waiting outside to see my nose too. I remember my friend’s reaction.. The first thing she said the moment she saw me was, “○○!! Your nose came down!!” At the time, my only goal was for my nose to come down normally so my nostrils would show less. So I didn’t care about the overall height or shape or anything like that, and I was just so moved and happy that my nose had come down. But in fact, both sides of my nose had originally been severely pinched. Only one side loosened and the other side stayed pinched, and the tip somehow ended up extending down in a long, droopy shape, so it wasn’t a pretty nose. Still, it was far better than living with the worst of lifted noses, and now I was satisfied and grateful that when I took photos, my nostrils weren’t all glaringly visible and showed less. But the problem was that as time passed and the swelling went down, the nose itself just kept hollowing out.... It felt like it was constantly shrinking?? At first I thought the swelling was just going down, haha, but no, it kept feeling like something inside the nose was losing volume and wrinkling up... The tip that had been standing up also gradually collapsed... In the end, my nostrils were less visible than before, but.. the tip completely collapsed, became thin and sharp, and the pinched part looked even more pinched, turning into a strange nose... So I started living with another strange nose again...... I couldn’t take photos like before anymore... and that became my life. I just kept telling myself, ‘My nose surgery just doesn’t suit me.. I’m unlucky.. maybe my nose is a bit difficult..’ and lived on like that..! Then as I kept getting older... I thought, should I give it one last try anyway.. So with the feeling that this really would be the last time, I decided on a repeat revision surgery!!!
2️⃣ How I chose the clinic Because I live in the provinces and have no ties in Seoul, it wasn’t easy even just to schedule consultation trips there and back. So over 3 months, I went up to Seoul a total of 4 times for consultations. One clinic flatly refused surgery, which hurt, and I carefully compared the remaining 9. In this age of overflowing information, choosing a clinic was the hardest part. But I really researched everything meticulously by digging through YouTube, blogs, reviews, and even before-and-after photos on clinic websites. In particular, I checked whether it was an ad and whether they truly had extensive experience with contracted noses. My criteria were: A place where the director personally takes responsibility for the case, rather than a large hospital, A place with lots of experience in revision surgery for contracted noses, A clinic with natural-looking results. After narrowing it down to 10 places, the reasons I ultimately chose Deohada Plastic Surgery were: 1. It specializes in contracted noses, and there were a huge number of before-and-after photos and real cases. 2. It was the only clinic whose director confidently told me, “Everything will work out.” That comforted me and gave me courage. 3. Instead of just optimistic words, they presented a realistic step-by-step plan suited to my nose condition. 4. The honest, unadorned tone and the manager’s down-to-earth, sincere attitude also inspired trust. 5. Lastly, the reasonable cost was a decisive factor. In the end, I chose Deohada because of extreme expertise in contracted noses + sincerity + rationality.
After struggling with my nose for so long, I really wanted this surgery to succeed, so I made a full-scale project out of it. First, I decided to quit smoking. (This was truly a huge event for me.. It may sound funny, but cigarettes were my only comfort) I had been way too lenient about smoking. I used to think, ‘Other people smoke too and their surgeries turn out fine!’... But. Even if that may be true for others, for me!! I accepted that cigarettes cause inflammation, and for this surgery I planned to quit smoking first! It was a firm resolve not to provide even one cause of rhinoplasty complications!!! I don’t drink alcohol anyway, so that wasn’t an issue!! (thankfully) Second, let’s select 10 clinics famous for revision surgery for contracted noses and go get consultations!!! I live in the provinces. I have no connections in Seoul and there’s absolutely no reason for me to go there So I thought I’d go up whenever I had time, get a bunch of consultations, and come back. At first I planned to do 3~4 consultations in one day.. but this wasn’t as simple as I thought Anyone who’s gone around for consultations knows this well. Each clinic has its own days off, and the doctors’ schedules differ, so it wasn’t easy to book multiple places in one day with perfect timing!! So after factoring in travel time, the best thing for me was to do 2 consultations per trip That’s right. So I went to Seoul a total of 4 times, and it took 3 months in total. Why 4 times? Because 3 of the 10 were famous places in the city where I live! And actually, there were 8 Seoul clinics, but I excluded 1.. because I got turned away immediately....ㅡㅜ They said they wouldn’t do my surgery... (Honestly, that was my top pick, so I was hurt.......) Anyway, just selecting the clinics to consult with was work in itself.... After getting older and living as a homebody for a long time, I no longer had friends around who were well informed about cosmetic surgery It had already been 10 years since my last revision... and look at how many more clinics had appeared, and how much advertising there was on Instagram and YouTube.... In all this flood of information, would I really be able to screen them properly? I was worried about that. But for my first surgery, I went to the first place I found by searching online at the time and booked the surgery date that same day. For the second surgery, I depended only on a friend, (of course, I’m really grateful) I realized that in both cases I had done no research and had no judgment of my own!! So this time I vowed to research and figure out everything myself!! But on the bright side, I’m a homebody and addicted to my smartphone.. so I’m basically on my phone all day anyway?!!? So I started by digging into YouTube! I searched for things like revision surgery for contracted noses and reconstruction, and watched an absurd number of videos... Then I’d find a clinic, go to its website, look at before-and-after photos and get a feel for its style... then watch YouTube again and get a sense of what kind of person the director might be... then go back to the website, check information from various places... do Naver searches, look for reviews, and really!!! I researched as thoroughly as I possibly could!! After doing that, I screened out the clinics that were said to be famous, and then from the ones that gave me a good feeling based on the information I found, I picked 10. This process was probably the hardest My head hurt My criteria for selecting clinics were: I avoided large hospitals, it was important how much experience the director had operating on cases like mine, the result and shape mattered, and I had to judge whether the information was an ad or not!! Of course these days there’s no place that doesn’t advertise... but I was very suspicious of whether the advertising was making things seem too inflated... And the improvement I wanted was: nothing else I didn’t even need to become prettyㅡ I just really, truly wanted an ordinary nose. One that’s there but not there. A plain nose that anyone looking at my face would just see as a normal, unremarkable nose, not one that screams individuality A nose that would not draw attention at all..... That was all I wanted..
Now. Among those 10 places I selected so carefully, why did I end up having surgery at Deohada Plastic Surgery!!! 1. Just by going to the website, you can immediately tell they specialize in revision surgery for contracted noses, and you can see there are an enormous number of review photos! In fact, all the results are so good!!!! It’s almost unbelievable..! There are several booklets at the clinic’s waiting area too, and they’re packed with before-and-after photos of contracted noses!! Several volumes full! So I could tell they truly had a huge amount of experience with severe contracted noses. 2. The director confidently told me it would work! Among the 10 places, they were the only ones who so coolly and confidently said, “Everything will work out.” At first, after finishing all the consultations, I actually hesitated a bit because of how confidently they said it would work I wondered if they were just saying that... Other clinics at least said things like, “It’s a difficult surgery, so it’ll be hard, but I’ll do my best,” and I had expected that too.. so that felt more realistic. But when they said everything would work out! At first I was suspicious.... But that confidence, you know, was also deeply comforting in another way... People with contracted noses are really filled with worry that whether they can recover after the next surgery.. But in that anxious situation.. having someone say it so reassuringly... it really resonated in my heart, like ding! Honestly, I think from the moment I heard those words, I wanted to trust Director Lee Jeonghun and follow him. 3. And of course! It was not just, “No consultation needed, everything will work out, the end!!” They didn’t say they could suddenly turn a ruined contracted nose into Karina!! They made a plan that fit my nose condition exactly. They laid out, in order, what needed the most urgent improvement in my nose and what had to be given up, and they carefully planned what to improve step by step. The consultation was also handled so sweetly.. random TMI, but he was even handsome (actor type), which made him even cooler.....(personal feelings) 4. I speak in a dialect, so when people use standard speech, I can’t really predict their personality or vibe from the way they talk. I just don’t have the data for it But because I’ve lived in the provinces my whole life and only used dialect, I can now sense the tendencies of people from the same region just from their way of speaking.. (Doesn’t everyone have something like this?) Anyway As I watched Director Lee Jeonghun’s YouTube videos and listened to the way he spoke... I could sort of see his nature! I got this strong gut feeling: “Wow. This person really doesn’t like lying, exaggerating, or putting on airs, and is honest!!!” Of course this is just my own brain’s conclusion... but I do think I’m pretty good at reading people... Anyway, honestly, that played a big part in my final decision on the clinic... And maybe because the director is that kind of person, the manager also felt really sincere to me, which I loved! I’m the type who gets a bit distant from things that feel overly friendly or too much, but the Deohada manager had a bit of a close-friend vibe? So she felt more trustworthy to me. While looking up reviews for Deohada, I saw a one-line comment saying, “The manager is unfriendly,” and I laughed to myself I thought, someone might really feel that way But to me, it seemed like they just didn’t have that over-the-top friendliness or artificial smile that some consultation managers have. The manager has a genuine smile, is unpretentious and down-to-earth, so she felt cute and nice. So to sum it up in one line, the reason I chose this clinic was: The director is completely specialized in the most extreme contracted noses and has lots of experience, he was confident about my surgery and clearly explained what my nose needed, I could sense that he is a sincere and good person, and on top of that the price is so reasonable!!!!! So I chose Deohada..♡
3️⃣ Aftercare On the day of surgery, the director personally explained the precautions and said, “We do not abandon you after the surgery.” Those words reassured me so much that I almost cried. And in fact, the aftercare after surgery was truly meticulous. Intermediate checkups until the nasal packing was removed, then regular progress checks every month, and direct guidance on the treatments and care methods needed depending on the condition of my nose. Even without me asking separately, they checked first, and I could feel the sincerity in how they tried to prevent problems. Also, as with the words “A contracted nose must be monitored all the way to the end,” they were the type to earn trust through realistic advice rather than praise. I also changed my lifestyle in return for that trust, and followed the instructions carefully to prevent inflammation. As a result, even now, 4 months later, my nose has settled very stably. So I plan to keep going for regular follow-ups, and even if something happens later on, I’m no longer worried. Because I trust Director Lee Jeonghun at Deohada Plastic Surgery. ------------------------------ On the day of surgery, I heard another incredibly moving thing. After hearing the final explanation of how the surgery would be done, showing the style photos I was aiming for (they asked me to bring them), and getting all the precautions explained directly, he said, “We do not abandon you after surgery,” and People with contracted noses and noses prone to inflammation worry a lot that the problem might recur after surgery, but when the director said that h a..... it really was such a trustworthy and dependable statement Actually, after the surgery was over, I felt they were managing everything very delicately to prevent inflammation. I could feel how much care they were putting into helping it heal well and settle properly!! After surgery, until the nasal packing was removed, I kept coming in for intermediate visits to get the necessary treatment, and once things became somewhat stable(?) I then came in once a month to keep checking the progress (it’s already been 4 months for me and I’ve gone in for the 4th checkup), and each time I went in for follow-up, they gave me whatever treatment was necessary according to my nose’s condition and kept telling me how to care for it, so I really felt that they continued to look after me well after the surgery too! Even when I didn’t ask for it first, they checked on me proactively, tried to prevent problems, and helped my nose settle well... Deohada Plastic Surgery is just a truly moving and grateful clinic... Actually, at my second follow-up visit, I said, “Director.. I think the surgery went so well..♡” But the director replied, “Contracted noses are unpredictable. We have to keep watching the progress carefully.” very casually. I mean, usually when I wasn’t satisfied with a surgery, the clinic would always say, “Your surgery went so well ^^^^^^^” right? The fact is, he didn’t just say those words, but actually helped it settle properly until the very end. That’s the real fact. Lastly, what’s important is that because the clinic takes such good care of me, I think I also need to put in the effort. So I’m following the precautions carefully to avoid inflammation and changing my lifestyle itself to be healthier! Maybe that’s why, even now, my nose has settled extremely well with absolutely no problems!!! I’ll keep going for follow-up visits, and even if something happens to my nose again as time passes, I’m not worried anymore. Because I’ve come to know Director Lee Jeonghun at Deohada Plastic Surgery!!!
Thank you so, so much to the director and manager at Deohada Plastic Surgery, and to the doctor and nurses who always took my progress photos.
And I hope everyone struggling with contracted noses gets good results❤️
