When I was a student, I first realized there was something wrong with my jaw and went to an orthodontic specialty clinic. At the time, I was told that because the lengths of my jawbones were different, it couldn't be improved with orthodontic treatment alone, that it was a surgical case, and that I should consider having surgery once I became an adult. But it wasn't a cheap surgery, and I was scared too, so I just lived forgetting about it. But as time went on, the discomfort gradually got worse, and in the end I decided to have two-jaw surgery. Plastic surgery clinics were never under consideration from the beginning, and after searching hard, I heard Chung-Ang University Hospital was famous for two-jaw surgery, so I immediately booked an appointment and visited. I had preoperative orthodontic treatment for about 1 year and was hospitalized for 5 days. The surgery itself was okay because you just fall asleep and wake up and it's over, but on the day of surgery, the anesthetic gas kept making me sleepy, yet they wouldn't let me sleep, which was really hard. After that, my nose was blocked and I couldn't breathe, which was extremely painful. But time really was the medicine. It was really hard, but even if I went back, I think I would do it again.
