Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

[Clinic] 3-month review after double-jaw surgery (SSRO) + genioplasty with chin advancement …

Hello. It was truly an incredibly difficult period, but before I knew it, 3 months have passed since the surgery.   To explain what made me decide to have surgery, I had a very severe retruded chin since I was young. Most people with a retruded chin seem to have protruding mouths, but in my case my mouth was not protruding, and perhaps because I still had a retruded chin, my lower face looked seriously weak and underdeveloped. I even felt intimidated just showing my side profile to others. Rather than wanting to become prettier, I just wanted to look like a normal person, so I went for consultations at hospitals.   Since my goal was not to become prettier, I mainly went for consultations at oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics rather than plastic surgery clinics, and the place I liked the most was this clinic.   Looking at hospital reviews in a community, the reviews about the director at this clinic were extremely divided, and I think I know why lol. When he is kind, he is really the kindest person in the world, but when he looks tired, his energy is very low. Even so, the reason I chose this place was that they examined my face longer than any other hospital. There are hospitals that just put up my photos and consult with me, but here they actually looked at my face from various angles while consulting with me. After I decided on surgery, I think they kept examining me for more than 30 minutes. They clearly told me which surgeries I needed and which surgeries I should not have. That is why I decided on this place, and even now I think it was a good decision.   As for the recovery process.. It was truly an incredibly, painfully, insanely difficult period. Compared with other plastic surgeries, I think this pain is on a completely different level. I was not in pain, but the suffering of not being able to breathe was so hard that I felt like I was going crazy. Because I could not breathe well, I even thought I might die. For 3 full days, I really could not eat anything and just lay down.   Even so, the reason I could endure it was thanks to the nurses who stayed by my side. They were so kind that I still remember their faces. Even at dawn, they must have been tired too, but they held my hand and stayed beside me for hours, and I was truly grateful.   My satisfaction with the change is beyond words. I think the only time in my life I had ever taken photos of my side profile was when I was in elementary school, but now I find my side profile fascinating and take photos of it myself.  There is no dramatic change that others would notice, but I am so satisfied just with the fact that my complexes about my retruded chin and asymmetry have improved.     Because the recovery process was so hard, I wonder whether I could go through this surgery again if I went back in time, but when I look at how I look now, I think I would have had no choice but to do it. I hope my post gives even a little courage to everyone who is about to have or is considering plastic surgery because of their own complex.
