Left is before surgery / right is after surgery I had Class III malocclusion (prognathism), and it had been a complex since I was young, so I got it done as soon as I saved up the money. My malocclusion was severe, so I had already had my bite aligned with orthodontic treatment in high school and proceeded as it was. But after surgery, I heard that it’s better to do the surgery first and then align the bite afterward. In my case, I had it done when I was young, so there was nothing I could do, but if you haven’t done it yet, I think it would be good to keep this in mind. My satisfaction with the surgery is good. It’s worth the price. However, as you can see in the front-view photo, after surgery, the nostril wings spread a lot. Even mine is after alar reduction I was looking for a photo from before the reduction to upload, but maybe because I was so stressed about how my nose spread like an upturned nose after double jaw surgery, I don’t have any selfies... Oh, and while there was still residual swelling, my lips also looked sunken in like an edentulous mouth. I couldn’t stand that, so I got lip filler too Now the swelling is all gone, so it’s fine, but the awkward-looking phase after surgery lasts quite a long time... And the maintenance cost(?) is also not insignificant. Lifting lasers like Ultherapy are a given, and I got greedy and even had a facelift too... I had a full facelift. The photos are from before the facelift. Since this is a double jaw surgery review, I didn’t use photos after the facelift. Both attached photos are from around 1 year after surgery. I recommend double jaw surgery to people who had severe prognathism like me, but if that’s not the case, I’m writing this review to suggest you think it over while also considering the future maintenance needed.
