About 1 year and 6 months after my facial contouring surgery, I had pin removal surgery! It’s now been 4 weeks since the surgery hehe The first reason I thought I should remove the pins was because there was more of a foreign-body sensation than I expected. I don’t usually feel it much, but I would feel it when I smiled for photos or put slight tension in my chin Not only that, but in winter, my chin would get cold the fastest out of my whole face, so my chin felt so cold lol Second, I still haven’t had my wisdom teeth removed, so I’ll definitely have to get a CT scan at the dentist later, and I thought I might feel a little embarrassed then lol So I decided to remove them and originally planned to have the surgery at the hospital where I had my first surgery. Still, I wondered if I should look into other hospitals too, and The Standard of Facial Contouring had a lot of reviews, and when I looked at the CT photos, there were many reviews where the surgeries looked cleanly done! It felt like a place that had done a lot of pin removals, so I trusted them, and the reviews were good too, so I requested a consultation first hehe The consultant was kind, and the doctor answered everything I was curious about and seemed very thorough, so I thought I could trust this place and have the surgery, so I did. After surgery, the major swelling all went down within a week! To be honest, I seem to have a body type suited for surgery, so I’ve never bruised from any surgery, and of course I didn’t have bruising this time either lol The most comfortable part was that the foreign-body sensation disappeared immediately after surgery, which was amazing hehe Even after surgery, unlike facial contouring surgery, I could move my chin well enough to eat about the same as usual!! Some people say you don’t need pin removal surgery, but if you have the time, I recommend doing it~~!!
