I had Unimedi Plastic Surgery’s 3D alar reduction (minimal intranasal-incision alar reduction (medial) + improvement of alar drooping + improvement of alar curvature)!
Personally, I didn’t have much dissatisfaction with things like my nasal bridge or nasal tip shape.. I just wanted to slightly reduce the size of my nose (especially the horizontal width) and balance my face. I didn’t want to insert any implants either haha I decided because the consultation manager gave a very thorough consultation. The director felt like someone who had maxed out his level through experience.. hahaha His style is accurate without exaggeration. He pursues a natural-looking result!!
During the surgery, I think the only pain was when they administered the anesthesia, and if you’ve had alar Botox before, you can think of it as about that level^^ (painful) They use local anesthesia, and midway through, they make only one side first and show it to you.
Right afterward, the shape looked okay, but after sleeping for a day and waking up, it was very swollen and looked pinched, so over the weekend I was kind of thinking, “Did this fail?” But even if you feel really anxious, try waiting first. Time is the medicine lol And if you have oily skin, I think it’s better to do it when the weather gets a bit cooler rather than in midsummer. I have very oily skin and also a lot of body heat, so my sebum production was excessive and healing was delayed a lot, which made me worry again. I also had it re-sutured.. Now it’s all in the past haha I had the re-suturing, and one week later the stitches were removed. Once the stitches are out, honestly I don’t think there’s anything in particular to be careful about, and from then on the swelling seems to go down much faster. The nostril shape was pointy at first, but it gradually settles into a natural shape. I’m diligently applying scar cream morning and night.
As for reactions from people around me, first of all, no one would ever dream that I had surgery, and when I tell them, they go, “Oh~.” At first I wore a mask, but that felt stuffy too so I took it off, and even with the stitches in, nobody noticed.. lol You have to tilt your head way up for them to be visible, and that almost never happens People say my image used to be a bit strong, but now it looks more feminine and softer. Since the horizontal width naturally decreased, I also feel like it looks slightly higher? I’m completely satisfied.
For this surgery, even reducing a small amount can completely change the impression, so I think the key is finding a director who can find that natural point well. I’ll add a review at the 3-month mark!!
