<Photo to explain my desired look><Before rhinoplasty><After rhinoplasty><Before-and-after rhinoplasty comparison>I usually like taking photos, so whenever I meet friends, I always tend to take group photos or selfies, but when I looked at my own photos, somehow my face looked flat. It had been like that since middle school,,, From the front, it was still somewhat okay, but from the side, I barely had a nasal bridge, so my facial contour looked plain, and makeup didn’t cover it well either. I didn’t want my impression to become too strong, and what I wanted was a soft straight line + natural height + a design where the nasal tip wasn’t pointy. + If possible, I wanted a change where people would say I looked more refined, but it wouldn’t be obviously noticeable. The photo is one I drew myself and brought to the consultation When I brought photos of people, it felt like the nose wasn’t clearly visible, so I drew it myself, and the director was surprised,,, The consultation took seriously longer than I expected. Other people said it took 2 hours, so I thought they were lying The director and consultant listened to everything I had to say until the end, and they tried to understand exactly what shape I wanted. (Oh, for reference, the order was consultant -> director consultation.) We talked for about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes, and they took a CT scan and close-up photos, showed them to me right away, and the director personally drew the nose line on the printout. I could compare the image I imagined with the range that was realistically possible, so I think the direction afterward became very clear. In particular, they told me it would be good to raise this area just slightly and keep the nasal tip rounded, and I really liked how de!!ta!!iled!! that was! For reference, my pick was a custom implant, because having it fully customized for me meant a lower inflammation rate and faster recovery. On the day of surgery, I was a bit nervous, but they gave me enough time to rest comfortably in the recovery room. Even after I fully woke up from anesthesia, I rested in a dedicated recovery room, and when I went home, they packed me up with all kinds of things needed for recovery. They also did some kind of laser treatment that helps reduce swelling, and the recovery speed really was fast. For cold compresses, I placed gauze first and was careful not to keep it on the same area for more than 1 minute, and after the stitches were removed, I switched to lukewarm warm compresses for care! + Everyone, use this as a reference for aftercare. Even just doing this kind of basic care well made a difference in how fast the swelling went down. After about 2 weeks, the swelling went down, so I could quickly return to daily life, and the line became completely stable. I was most satisfied that my side profile connected smoothly in a straight line, and because the nasal tip wasn’t pointy, my impression didn’t change excessively. People around me just said I somehow looked more refined, so I also liked that it wasn’t noticeable unless comparing before and after. What I realized this time is that with rhinoplasty, harmony with the face is much more important than height. Because they designed it by accurately reflecting my needs during the consultation, and carefully managed my aftercare even after surgery, recovery was comfortable and I’m happy with the result. Every time I look in the mirror, I feel like this was really a good choice!!!!
