When I first started looking into rhinoplasty, I honestly didn’t really know what was what, and to my eyes everything looked good, so choosing a clinic was really hard. Especially when I asked on places other than this community, like ㄱㄴㅇㄴ and ㅂㅂㅌ, people just said everything was good, and even though I didn’t ask for recommendations, they recommended places, so I was kind of wondering what was going on. So it took quite a while to go around for consultations and actually get the surgery.... Then one time I posted on my Insta Story that I was going around plastic surgery clinics, and a friend said they had an acquaintance who knew a lot about plastic surgery, so I ended up talking with that person and getting several clinic recommendations. The nose I wanted.... Not natural X A glamorous one, but somewhere that doesn’t make the nose look pinched I especially said I didn’t want to do it at a place with no recognition, almost like a ghost clinic? I thought if it had some level of recognition, that meant a lot of people had gone there, and it would be easier to look up things like how they handle aftercare........ They didn’t recommend Louvre from the start; they told me several places that matched the image? I wanted, and among them I personally went around for consultations and ended up doing it here.... For the nose materials, I used silicone and autologous costal cartilage. I originally went to the consultation thinking of using donated rib cartilage, but the director explained the pros and cons, so I changed to autologous costal cartilage.... I think you could call this just my personal preference Maybe because it was my first surgery, the director didn’t particularly force me into any one option. Their mindset itself felt like they told me several better methods and then decided through compromise with the patient. Anyway, until actually getting the surgery, things went relatively smoothly, but after taking off the splint.... my nose was right there!!! in front of my eyes, so that was the period when my anxiety went max..... I wondered if it was just me, so I searched a lot, and there were many people saying they got better after a few weeks, and before that their nose looked like a chubby lump. It wasn’t that my nose shape itself looked strange, but should I say the bridge looked a bit thicker than I had expected? So I was worried.. What I wanted was a slim, sleek nose..... First round, I cried to the consultant once; second round, I cried to the director twice..... Thinking about it now, it’s kind of funny that I talked like the world was ending when I was only in week 2 or 3 I’m totally on the glamorous side, so from the very beginning I had the nose shape made glamorous, you know? The reactions around me were, oh... it’s so pretty... vs it is pretty, but isn’t it too glamorous? But I actually liked both = because I wanted something glamorous.... Instead, I was satisfied because it didn’t look pinched, and from then on I only thought about how to deal with the skin on my nose.. They said once it stabilizes a bit, I can do things like nose packs, so I wanted to hurry up and take care of my skin Oh, and after surgery, I really like the shape, but maybe because I already had oily-dehydrated skin, I used to get a lot of oil around my nostril wings, you know? But after getting my nose done, it feels like even more oil comes up.. But it’s not like I could scrub hard to exfoliate, so I lived with oil blotting papers... Now it seems a bit better than before. When I put on makeup, the oil explodes. Anyway, people say not to trust clinics too easily.... so I think maybe it’s better to follow an acquaintance’s recommendation to some extent. If you don’t have an acquaintance... work hard searching online and going to consultations (which is what I’m doing now......) This got long as I wrote it;; I originally wasn’t going to reveal the clinic, but this community required it, so I’m just posting it. I didn’t write the cost because I felt like there was no need, but if anyone is curious, send me a message or leave a comment and I’ll tell you! For the nose, hmm...... if you’re not going to look into it properly, I think it’s better not to do it. If you look into it half-heartedly and do it, it seems like it’ll end in revision surgery.....
