Around September last year I was told both canines on both sides needed root canal treatment -> they said the sub-front teeth next to the canines also both needed cavity treatment -> since they were going to work on all 4 front teeth anyway, they asked if I wanted to also correct the slight gap between my front teeth and get the cosmetic effect at the same time -> they made it sound like a simple procedure, with the nuance that it could all be done at once during treatment without going through the hardship of separate orthodontics, so I just said I would do it -> I had a procedure where they shaved down about 40% of my healthy front teeth and placed crowns (there were some cavities on both sides, not the very center front teeth). After the procedure, for a while my teeth were sensitive and my gums were swollen and uncomfortable, but now that a lot of time has passed, maybe I've just gotten used to it or something, those symptoms are somewhat less. What I realized while living with it is that they aligned my upper and lower front teeth slightly like a malocclusion, so before (when they were my natural teeth), of course my upper and lower front teeth, two each, met and I could cut food, but now I can only do it on the left side, and the right side can't do it at all. It's a minor inconvenience, and going to the clinic to argue and deal with it would be tiring and stressful, so I'm just living with it, but if someone I know said they were going to this clinic, I would tell them not to.
