It’s approaching 3 months since my nose surgery. I didn’t put in any implant; I had the hump shaved down, osteotomy, and the nasal tip done with septal cartilage, and seeing that the columella got a bit longer, I think they may have done a strut too. It was my first time having surgery, and I had heard about rhinoplasty so casually, and I also had a slight deviated septum, so I thought I might as well do cosmetic surgery while I was having surgery. I took it really lightly and had surgery without even knowing exactly what kind of surgery I was getting. My nose was originally a little crooked, but it wasn’t a nose that was very noticeable to the naked eye. Now after the surgery is all done, I can understand the nose looking a little crooked, but the nasal tip is bent from right to left, and it breaks my heart. I’m even thinking about removal, and I really regret it so much, wondering why I did it. I try to think positively, like there are people having a harder time than me, so my case isn’t even something to worry about, but after sleeping and waking up and looking in the mirror, it’s really hard. When I go to the hospital and ask, they say the axis of my face is all tilted from right to left, and that I have no choice but to be satisfied that it’s better than before. If the nasal bridge is crooked, that’s okay, but the crooked nasal tip really doesn’t look good. I’m worried whether it will look even more that way going forward. I’m frustrated, so I’m writing this post. Should I remove it?? Whether I remove it or have another surgery, because of the work I do, I think I’ll have to wait about another 3 months.. That would be around 6-7 months after surgery. Would it be okay to remove it then, or does it absolutely have to be done quickly.. Sometimes I wonder whether, when they did the osteotomy on the nasal bridge, they cut the bone wrong and made it crooked. Can this be found out by taking an X-ray?? Or should I also get consultations at other plastic surgery clinics? My heart feels heavy and frustrated;; I can’t concentrate on work right now either, and I feel pathetic for doing this unnecessarily and suffering like this. Please help
