<Before surgery><Before surgery><Before surgery><After surgery><After surgery><After surgery>Is there anyone here who often gets told they look a bit masculine because of their nose? .... That was me... I took after my parents, so my eyes and face shape themselves were on the pretty side, but my nose had a hooked bump sticking out, so no matter how femininely I dressed up, people kept saying things like, "She’s pretty, but she looks a little masculine...." But I was scared to suddenly go through with nose surgery because of possible side effects, and I had also seen comments saying a hooked nose was not improved all at once, so I hesitated for years. Since the stress about my nose didn’t go away, I eventually ended up getting surgeryㅠㅠ There were a lot of things I was scared about during my recovery too, so I’m leaving this post in case it might be helpful for everyone. I had surgery on my nasal bridge, nasal tip, and hooked nose. As I said earlier, rather than my nose itself overall, the hooked nose bothered me the most, so I asked Director Kim Jun-hyung, who performed my surgery, to make sure this part was clearly improved.. We had already talked about designing it as a natural-yet-defined straight-to-slightly-curved line (the line the doctor designed suited me well), but with a hooked nose, you never really know unless the surgery is done properly, so I think that was what worried me the most. Still, the consultation with the doctor was really good, and the reviews said the effect was good enough that the before-and-after difference was clearly visible, so I had the surgery thinking, it makes sense to have it done at a clinic I feel confident about~ But after getting my nose doneㅠㅠ.. With the splint on and cotton packing in, it was so hard to breathe, and I think I spent every day worrying about how my nose looked. Still, that anxious feeling got somewhat better after the splint was removed. For me, there was more swelling on the nasal bridge than the nasal tip (there was also some swelling around the cheeks near the bridge), and I think that was because I had hooked-nose correction.... Still, the shape itself came out as the natural-yet-defined straight-to-slightly-curved line I wanted, so I was satisfied. Since I had to focus more on reducing swelling after that, I diligently used warm compresses and went on lots of walks! Maybe because of that, I think most of the major swelling was gone before even a month had passed. My friends around me were also really surprised and said I recovered fast.. haha.. Honestly, even to me, the difference between my old nose and my current nose seems huge, to the point that I wonder whether I should show old photos to a future boyfriend or new friends I meet....^^ Still, even if it’s an artificial nose, it’s my nose now, so it’s okay to live confidently, right? The hooked part has almost disappeared, and the line from the nasal bridge is slim and nicely defined. I want to keep this nose for the rest of my life...
