It’s been about 6 months since my first surgery with autologous rib cartilage I decided to have revision surgery because I didn’t like the shape, but I have something I’m curious about :)
Around 3 months in, when I opened my mouth to brush my teeth, the rib cartilage near the tip of my nose and philtrum would kind of jerk to one side~ I was so surprised, but when I moved it back into place by hand, it returned I called the hospital, and they were like, Really?? with that kind of attitude...
That was the first time, and since then, it’s been so naturally happening that when I eat, yawn, or use my mouth widely, it only jerks to the right and the tip of my nose twists It’s hard to describe, but it really feels like it suddenly slips out of alignment??
Every time that happens, I move it back into place with my hand lol It’s a little ridiculous, but I was also scared, worried the cartilage might shift for good if this kept happening
Now I can kind of control it without needing to move it back by hand Maybe because it’s autologous rib cartilage and so hard, the uncomfortable tightness has loosened up, so I think that part may be good
What I’m curious about is, do everyone who had surgery with rib cartilage experience the same thing? I want to know whether this is part of the nose becoming more natural, or whether it’s a sign of contracture or something bad
Anyway, I have to get revision surgery, so I’m not taking it too seriously But if it’s a problem, I should talk seriously with the clinic and be extra careful after the revision, so that’s why I’m asking
There are plenty of reviews about pretty shapes, but if anyone has a firsthand experience like mine, please tell me~~
