Hello. I decided to have double-jaw surgery because of TMJ disc issues and jaw dislocation caused by malocclusion. Among the reasons I chose Yiyou Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was that the director of the dental clinic I had been attending recommended it, so I visited. I felt that the consultation with Director Shin Hee-jin went well, and the reviews I read also said there were no side effects and that the surgery was performed very naturally, so I trusted them and went ahead with the surgery right away! Around 1 month after surgery, the swelling that had been severe at first started to go down little by little, and my face was gradually looking more natural. Opening my mouth was also okay, but I still had some symptoms of a retruded chin, so there was still some discomfort. However, the facial swelling was not very noticeable. I was also happy because I could eat almost freely! At 2 months, I felt sensation gradually returning to my chin, and I was so happy to see the swelling going down. After surgery, I had the wires changed at the dental hospital I had been attending, and I felt that the retruded chin symptoms I had been worried about were improving! And now I am at 3 months. At this point, I can feel sensation in my chin well, and when I drink something cold, my gums feel a bit sensitive. The swelling has improved so much that I feel like it has all gone down.
