Hello I had double jaw surgery and two facial contouring procedures (square jaw and chin) at Y Oral last February, and a year has passed! I also had the pins removed, so I wanted to post that review together! I think this review is focused on the pin removal! Originally, I was planning to live my whole life without removing them, but under my chin, I started getting a lot of pimple-like inflammation that was not acne, for the first time in my life. So as soon as I was able to start taking care of myself after the surgery, I spent over 1 million won at a dermatology clinic, but they just kept appearingㅠㅠ I wondered by myself if I was having an inflammatory reaction because of the pins, and even when I asked my doctor, they said it was not because of the pins, but I decided to remove the pins because I felt like I had to try anything... Right after surgery, I had a lot on my chest and a lot on my face too, so somehow I felt like it was because of the pins. So 1 year and 2 months after surgery, I ended up having pin removal surgery again... They say pin removal surgery involves cutting open the areas where the double jaw surgery was done once more to remove the pins... At first, I lay down without knowing anything, but now that I knew how hard it would be, I was even more scaredㅠㅠ I was especially most worried about my throat hurting after general anesthesia and whether I would get skin trouble all over my body again. As expected, I lay down on the scary operating table, my arm hurt, I went “aah,” and then the surgery was over. I had caught a bad cold the week before, so I postponed the surgery by one week, and my throat and nose ended up in the same condition as when I had that bad cold... because of the general anesthesia... I thought I really would have died if I had done it while I had the cold. My throat hurt a lot, and I had a lot of runny nose and phlegm. During double jaw surgery, it was hard just to breathe right away, so I did not really know, but I realized it must have been really severe. It was only about one-third of the pain of double jaw surgery, but being uncomfortable for a week was still hard. Since the bones were still the same, the inside of my face did not hurt, but the incised areas inside my mouth and the stitches felt tight and uncomfortable. And the biggest pain was no brushing teeth for a week... But they did not exactly tell me not to do it; they told me to do it carefully, so I brushed my teeth from about 2-3 days later. I took annual leave on Friday, had the surgery, rested Saturday and Sunday, and went back to work from Monday, but I think it would be good to rest until Monday too.. It was hard exactly until Monday, and after that it was okay! However, the runny nose and phlegm continue for the entire week, like someone with a bad cold. It is almost been a month now, and I am still not sure about my skin, but the swelling is almost all going down. They said it would go down in 2 weeks, but it is not quite that much, and I think it will take over a month and a half to go down completely! I did have pin removal surgery because of my skin, but still, I feel refreshed thinking that there are no foreign materials inside my body!
