Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

A 1-Month Before-and-After Review of Two-Jaw Surgery I’m Satisfied With, Without Even a Single Side Effect

I decided to get two-jaw surgery because I wanted to improve my complex and live even a slightly better life! In my case, the first oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic I visited, just to check whether I was a two-jaw surgery case or a facial contouring case, was EU Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After visiting a total of 6 clinics, I chose it because, among the various directors, consultants, and clinics, it was the best in professionalism, kindness, facilities, and so on! First of all, all the consultants were beautiful and kind, and they felt even more professional than the consultants at other clinics. Above all, the things that Director Shin Hee-jin, who would be performing the surgery, told me and her experience felt the most trustworthy and left the strongest impression. Since it is also a clinic well known for oral and maxillofacial surgery, I thought its expertise was the best, so I trusted my first choice and went ahead with the surgery :) ♥Day 1♥ My memories right after surgery are spotty. When the painless injection and antibiotic injection were administered, I felt nauseated, but nothing came out. So I didn’t even use the painless injection and just endured it as it was. I didn’t feel like it hurt terribly, and I wondered, “Is this similar to the pain of having wisdom teeth pulled?” I slept for about 1 to 2 hours at a time and woke up, and even though I was told I could drink water, I didn’t. My appetite was 0%, and with my nose blocked and the wafer in place, I couldn’t really figure out how to drink water. So I ended up drinking even less. At dawn, I felt so suffocated that I called the nurse twice, asking them to open the door and saying it was so hard to breathe. They looked a little tired, so I felt really sorry ㅠㅠ ♥One Week♥ Mashed Sari Gomtang noodles, cheesecake, chocolate milk, banana + yogurt Breathing got a little better. Of course, my nose is still blocked, but it feels like about 1/3 of it has opened up? I used Otrivin only before sleeping, and I went to the clinic this afternoon. Before seeing the director, I received a long laser treatment. Maybe because I got the laser treatment, the swelling is going down quickly. I also had bruising on my neck, so they told me to receive laser treatment around my neck as well. When I was discharged, I left my humidifier behind, and even though it must have been a hassle, they took good care of it for me. Everyone at the clinic is so warm and attentive. They’re not human, they must have gathered only angels ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ seriously.. The director disinfected the inside of my mouth and said that since my occlusion is currently being maintained well, I could remove the elastics and use only the wafer! (For reference, mine is cosmetic two-jaw surgery.) Director Shin Hee-jin is always kindness itself..!! ♥2 Weeks♥ Kimchi stew, doenjang stew, soft tofu stew, fish cake soup, etc., eaten with rice mixed in; cream puff bread / sliced bread with strawberry jam dipped in milk; I gently melted Poca Chips or thin crackers on my tongue and palate before eating them. Maybe because Director Shin performed the surgery so well, or maybe because of my constitution, even when I was at my most swollen on days 4 to 5, I think I was less swollen than other people, and even now I think I’m on the less-swollen side. During the day, my nose doesn’t get blocked even without Otrivin, but my ears still keep feeling plugged ㅠㅠ At night, I use Otrivin once before sleeping. The stitches and wafer were removed, but they said I have to live with elastics hooked onto the screws! Since it’s cosmetic two-jaw surgery, I won’t be getting orthodontic treatment :) Even though it must be inconvenient and they must get tired of it, everyone at the clinic always speaks kindly to me. I tend to be blessed with good people around me, and the consultants, nurses, and doctors were all kind and the best!ㅠㅠ ♥One Month♥ It has now been one month since the surgery. I’m eating regular food by cutting almost most foods into small pieces and swallowing them. I even cut chicken into small pieces and eat it almost by swallowing it ㅋㅋㅋ My nasal congestion is gradually decreasing, and I’m still sleeping while sitting at a 45-degree angle. Compared with the early stage after surgery, it’s getting more manageable as time passes, and sensation is gradually returning. After two-jaw surgery, my facial contour became prettier and smaller, so my philtrum, which was originally long, looks shorter, and I’m satisfied with that. But personally, I’ve become a little greedy haha, and I want to shorten it a bit more, so around the end of next month, I’m thinking of going for consultations for philtrum reduction surgery too. It has been one month, and I’m so, so grateful to Director Shin Hee-jin for performing the surgery safely and beautifully without a single side effect!
