After joining a community, I searched a lot for posts about removal, asked questions, and sent private messages.. I had it removed roughly 2 years after surgery. For reference, I had the removal done at the place where I first had the surgery... I made appointments for consultations at several other hospitals too, but.. in the end, I thought the person who first touched my nose would still know it best, so I decided on the original hospital. Honestly, even if every hospital is kind during the initial surgical consultation, maybe there aren’t many places that stay consistently kind after you’ve had surgery... That’s what I felt from reading many reviews too, and in my case, the conversations and consultation details kept feeling inconsistent. The conclusion is that I did remove it, but it doesn’t seem like a complete 100% removal. I had 1 mm silicone, crooked nose correction, and septal cartilage used in the nasal tip and columella.. According to the doctor, even if they remove everything else, if they remove everything placed in the columella, the surgery would become too big.. ㅡㅡ So it seems they left the cartilage in the columella and also removed something that had been overlaid on top of it... They explained that they would cut out only the overlaid part. I wanted complete removal... and I had many questions, but I couldn’t even ask them, and it wasn’t an atmosphere where I could ask whether it really couldn’t be removed, so I just had the removal done and came back. When I asked if the remaining part would make it hard or prevent me from making a pig nose, I only heard that it wouldn’t. Thinking about it now, I wonder if it means they left the cartilage between both nostrils as is and only cut out the cartilage that had been placed on top... the cartilage added to support the raised nasal tip.. I feel like I should have insisted they remove everything to the end while I was already doing removal...ㅠㅡㅜ If I had to do it again, I really don’t think I could... As long as there are no other side effects, I’m going to live like this..ㅠㅡㅠ It was so painful, hard, and exhausting.. They explained that after removal, inflammation.. contracture.. the nose could droop more.. and that the hospital couldn’t take responsibility. Still, after reading posts here where people seemed to live well even after removal, I went ahead and had it removed. A long time after surgery, I started having pain in my nose.. and cartilage began protruding in that area. The hospital said they could simply correct only the protruding area... but just as they can’t predict what happens after removal... they couldn’t guarantee that cutting it out would mean no inflammation or no pain... What I ultimately felt is that I should live with the face I was born with.. that you can never become pretty with just a bit of money... Even if you become pretty, it feels like it isn’t yours... and if you’re unlucky, side effects can come like they did for me...ㅠㅡㅠ... Of course not everyone will agree, but that’s how it was for me It hasn’t been many days since removal, but can the nose get this big? I had a mental breakdown. It really looks like a pig nose. Twice the size of my original nose?? My family laughed after seeing my nose, and I thought my stitches would burst. People say that after removal there’s less swelling than the first surgery and it goes down quickly.. This nose does get smaller, right? It hasn’t even contracted yet, so what do I do if it’s already like this..ㅠㅡㅠ When on earth does the swelling start to go down? For reference, I haven’t taken off the splint yet... They said they slightly shaved the nasal bridge, but it looks much lower... I’m worried the nasal line might be bumpy when I go to have it removed....
