Review of completely resolving my facial asymmetry complex at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic Whenever I went on trips or met friends and took photos, every time I saw my face looking crooked, I didn’t like it, so I stopped saving photos. When I realized I was the only one without photos containing memories, I decided to get double-jaw surgery. In my case, I also had consultations at other oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics, but there was nowhere that explained things as kindly and systematically as this clinic, and there was also nowhere with as many reviews as this place, so I trusted them and decided right away. During days 1 to 3 in the hospital after double-jaw surgery, I was okay, but from day 4 the swelling got worse, and until day 6 I couldn’t breathe properly and it was so hard. But exactly from day 7, it gradually started getting better. Week 2 Most of the major swelling had gone down, but there was still swelling next to my nose and around the philtrum, so wrinkling my nose or moving my lips was still uncomfortable. Sensation had returned to my lower jaw, but not fully to my upper jaw, so when brushing my teeth I couldn’t tell whether it was my gums or teeth, but I thought it would get better with more time! Week 3 Now most of the major swelling had gone down and all the bruising was gone, so unless I said something, it wasn’t very obvious that I had surgery, and it looked very natural. Because I have a job where I talk a lot, I kept taking out the wafer, and because of the body’s tendency to return to its original state, these days I really feel that I need to strictly follow what the doctor told me.ㅜ Month 1 Now I’m back to daily life and living without discomfort, and even when I take photos my jaw doesn’t look rotated, so I’m very satisfied lol! Sometimes if I have a drink, I get trouble around the surgical area, so I think I should already avoid alcohol. Month 2 All the swelling is gone, and I started eating almost everything except things that are too hard, so there’s no discomfort. Even when I take photos, the asymmetry doesn’t show, so I’m really, really happy. Month 3 They told me to sleep with rubber bands hooked onto my orthodontic appliance while sleeping, but these days I’ve had a lot to do, so I keep forgetting and sleeping without wearing them, and I regret it;; I’ll say it again: listen carefully to the doctor. Month 4 Now there’s nothing uncomfortable at all, and since I can eat hard foods too, I’m not sure if I gained weight because I’m eating so well or if my facial lines have settled, but my face shape has become so much softer, and these days people around me are giving me a lot of compliments! Month 5 Now I don’t feel any reluctance when taking photos, and instead I’ve gained confidence. But after surgery, it seems like I developed a little fat under my chin, so I thought doing mewing exercises might make it a bit better! Anyway, this is my review of double-jaw surgery at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic, now that it’s almost been half a year. I’m very satisfied!
