I had my septal support strut removed and cartilage repositioned.
They said they untied the nasal tip suturing, repositioned it, and then tied it again.
The first photo is my nose before removal.
The second is the day after removal (day 2).
The third photo is today. (day 3)
The nasal tip height has also lowered, and the shape of the alar area does not seem to have become a pinched nose.
What I do not like right now is my nostrils. The nostril asymmetry is because of the taping, so that is okay,
but I feel like my nostrils show more than before removal.
The hospital says the swelling is severe right now and the taping is very tight, so the skin is being pulled upward.
They say that once the tape is removed and the swelling goes down, it will come down more than it is now. Is that really trueㅠㅠㅠ
When I asked why so much of my nostrils are showing and said that I clearly asked them before removal to make my nostrils show less than now,
they said that it is so swollen now that even disinfectant cotton barely fits inside my nose, so let us wait a little longer.
And they said that later, if I really still do not like it, they will operate again themselves and lower it for me, so not to worry.
The day after surgery, I went for disinfection with my parents, and after talking with me,
the director personally went to my parents and promised them.
They said I am very anxious right now, but first we should observe it, and if I still say I do not like it later, they will do the surgery again.
They said they can lower only the height with a closed approach, so not to worry.
Since they personally promised even my parents, I decided to trust those words and wait.
I felt a little relieved that they did not avoid a patient complaint....
I just hope the nostrils come down a bit from the current state.
Right now I feel like too much of my nostrils are showing....
Will they come down once the swelling goes down and the tape is removed?ㅠㅠ
