4 years after cortical bone resection + T-osteotomy + square jaw resection

I found out about this website today and signed up today, so I’m posting this 4-year-old review now in case it helps. I had V-line surgery. Cortical bone resection? That’s right, isn’t it? It’s been so long.. T-osteotomy, cutting the front chin in a T shape, bringing it together, and fixing it with pins, and shaving the square jaw [they said they shaved it, I found out later -_-] I had it done in Gangnam ㅇㅇ. Is it wrong to say this too? At that time, the two-jaw surgery boom was just about... starting to really blow up, I think. So I originally considered getting two-jaw surgery too, but I really didn’t have the confidence to live with braces, and the cost was a burden, so I got V-line surgery. My bite was normal. Back then, I wasn’t thinking “I want to become pretty,” it was more “as long as I look better than before,” and “surely it won’t be worse than before?” Honestly, I had nothing to lose. I think I was 23 at the time. It was a hard period when I worked like crazy and saved money, and with the mindset of “surely it won’t be worse than now?” I went alone, had general anesthesia, and got the surgery. I had been stressed for a very long time because my lower face was large, so I had surgery thinking there was no way it could be worse than now. Maybe because my expectations weren’t high, I think I just lived ㅡㅡ going with the flow. After surgery, once the major swelling went down, I just lived my daily life as usual. After the major swelling goes down, it feels like you return to your old face. From there, the swelling gradually goes down and the shaved jaw shape starts to show. I lived without paying that much attention, and then at some point, while looking in the mirror, the day comes when you think, “Ah, the skin on my lower face seems saggy. I want a lifting procedure.” I think that took a little over a year. The skin was definitely sagging more than the jaw [that was my case; my skin is on the thicker side]. So at some point I found myself looking into lifting procedures. I guess it was because I thought, if only the skin is pulled up, I’ll look pretty... something like that? In my opinion, lifting is essential after facial contouring surgery. Honestly, what’s the point if only the jaw gets smaller? Where does all the skin that used to be supported by that jaw go? In my case, my expectations were low, and I had let go with the thought, “could it be worse than me now?” but honestly, people with high expectations may be disappointed. Celebrities say they got two-jaw surgery, V-line surgery, this and that, but there’s no way they only do that ㅡㅡ I really feel that. Once you start spending money, it feels endless. After facial contouring, I’ve also been continuously spending money here and there [lifting procedures, volume fillers, etc.] Of course it would be nice to be naturally beautiful, but I’m not, so maybe that’s why it felt even more that way. Anyway, what I want to say now, 4 years later, is that my jaw does seem smaller. Definitely, before [was it because I was younger?], even if I pulled the skin around my lower face, there wasn’t much excess, but now there’s a lot left. I feel like I need to pull it all this much ㅡㅡ I don’t know whether this is excess left because I had my jaw reduced, or whether my skin is sagging because I’ve aged,,, but I think it’s an effect that came after facial contouring. [I wouldn’t exactly call it a side effect.] I didn’t have anything done to my cheekbones, so I’m not sure, and even the jawline is like this.. Well, wouldn’t cheekbones be even more so? For those considering facial contouring surgery, I think it’ll be easier on your mind to just think of lifting as essential. ^^
