Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

I corrected my malocclusion and protruding chin with double jaw surgery^^

I had malocclusion and a slightly protruding chin In the past, I just lived with it, but every time I looked in the mirror, it bothered me. 7 years ago, I even scheduled surgery, but I got scared and eventually canceled it..ㅠㅠ But as time went by, I kept feeling regret, and my self-esteem kept getting lower In the end, I started looking for a hospital again, and while searching through many reviews, the one I liked the most was Yiyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery! Even when I visited, for the first time during the consultation with Director Kim Jong-yoon, I felt something called trust^^ That’s how I decided to have surgery again haha On the day of surgery, it was better than I expected There wasn’t much pain, and breathing wasn’t especially difficult I just remember being hungry and eating New Care with a syringe^^ lol From days 2~3, the swelling really came up It was so tight and swollen that wearing the compression band was very uncomfortable… Bruising also came up, and showering was a little hard, but I tried hard to regain strength by diligently eating beef bone broth, abalone porridge, and even soft persimmon The breathing problems or extreme pain I had heard were scary were not really a major issue for me Around days 4~5, reduced sensation startedㅠ I had a tingling and numb feeling in the palate, chin tip, and lips, but I believed time would solve it haha My body felt heavy and I was hungry... Still, I tried to make my diet varied with abalone porridge, mashed sweet potato, apple juice, and so on. I also remember feeling a little excited before my first outpatient visit haha At the 1-week outpatient visit, we scheduled stitch removal As I asked about the things I was curious about, I felt much more at ease^^ I remember they said the philtrum, nose shape, and sensory recovery would improve with time, so I decided to trust that and wait lol At week 2, I had the stitches removed, and for me, it really did hurtㅠ But my mouth felt so refreshed haha! I put on makeup and went out without a mask, and although the jaw tilt was slightly visible, they said it was because of swelling, so I decided to wait and got through it without any major issues^^ At weeks 3~4, the variety of foods I could eat increased quite a bit haha I tried noodles and finely cut meat, and I ate pasta and went to watch movies too haha I still had no sensation, but I was so satisfied with how my side profile had changed From month 1, orthodontic treatment started, and because my bite didn’t fit, chewing wasn’t easy, but I slowly adapted. My gums hurt, and I couldn’t open my mouth wideㅠㅠ I realized this is truly a surgery that requires a lot of patience At month 2, my face was becoming more and more natural People around me said something looked prettier and different, but they didn’t know exactly what lol amazing, right The swelling still hadn’t fully gone down, so I decided to wait again, more patience! At months 3~4, eating became much easier I even eat radish kimchi cut thinly haha And most of all, now I could smile much more confidently than before surgery. The tightness or pointiness at the chin tip bothered me a little, but I was gradually loosening it with massage^^ At months 5~6, a lot of the swelling in my face went down, and it became much more natural! However, I still have to pay attention to pronunciation, and sensation has not completely returned Still, thanks to orthodontic correction of my front teeth, my smile feels more refined, so I’m extremely satisfied^^ Even if it takes a little longer, I feel that I’m continuing to improve, so I realized this time has not been wasted haha My biggest regret is not meeting Yiyu Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery sooner, and my 6-month review is more than satisfaction haha
