Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

After two-jaw surgery, I’ve become much more comfortable in social life too

<Before-and-after comparison>I had a severe appearance complex since I was young because of malocclusion and a protruding lower jawㅠㅠ When I was in elementary school, I started orthodontic treatment without even knowing why, but the jaw problem was not resolved. During puberty, I became so sensitive from stress about my side profile that I took photos every day and edited them to see what it would look like if my jaw were set back. After realizing that simple orthodontic treatment had limitations, I kept looking into two-jaw surgery until I finally became an adultㅠ Although my parents opposed it, I wanted it so desperately myself that, after sincerely persuading them, I received permission and had the surgery. On January 31, I had YoonYoon3 (zygoma + square jaw + chin) at Y Oral!! The external changes after surgery were big, but more than anything, the psychological change was significant. Before, I was very fixated on my side profile and sensitive to people’s gazes, but now I feel good every time I look in the mirror and have gained confidence. As my jaw moved inward, my overall facial impression became gentlerㅎㅎ People around me also often tell me my impression has become much softer. My mom especially likes it and says I look kindㅎㅎ In the past, I always worried about angles when taking photos, but now any angle is fine. Right after surgery, there was pain and swelling, so there were difficult times, but the hospital took such careful care of me that I was able to recover quickly. I was touched.. A mostly liquid diet, regular walks, and drinking enough water helped a lot with reducing swelling. Now that it is approaching 3 months after surgery, it is almost time to remove the screws inside my mouth, and I can open my mouth enough to fit three fingers, so daily life has become much more comfortable. Originally I couldn’t even fit one finger in.. It’s moving. These days I can eat pretty much anything. As for swelling, I can still feel it continuing to go down. At first, the philtrum area was very swollen, so my overall impression looked puffy, but as the swelling goes down, it feels like the philtrum is becoming concave. My cheekbones were also very swollen right after surgery, so I even wondered, did I really get my cheekbones done? But now a lot of the swelling has gone down, and the cheekbone area has become much slimmer. It also seems like there is still some swelling left to go down on the right cheekbone. My nose looks relatively more defined, and my originally small lips have rolled inward a little more and become even smaller, but... since my jaw and mouth definitely moved inward, I think I can accept that much. Overall, recovery is going well, and I like that my face is becoming gradually sharper. Honestly, right after surgery it hurt so much that I regretted it briefly, but now that time has passed, I’m so satisfied that I wonder what it would have been like if I hadn’t done the surgery. Especially because my personality, which had been sensitive because of my jaw, has become much brighter, I’ve become much more comfortable in social life too. Surgery was not an easy decision, but I truly have no regrets, and even if I went back, I would do it again. For those who, like me, had a severe jaw complex, whether it is two-jaw surgery or facial contouring, I sincerely want to recommend getting the surgery that suits you.
