I had surgery in early March this year, and the removal was on September 26, so I guess I had it removed after 7 months. I had silicone placed and septal cartilage used, and what do they call it, lateral osteotomy? I had that done too. The reason I had surgery was, aside from my nose being low, because of my youthful-looking image. People around me tried to stop me and told me not to do it, but I was so stressed about it that I pushed ahead no matter what. So I had a consultation with the counseling manager/doctor, and they said that although I lacked height in the glabella area, my nose bridge itself was actually high. I remember(?) them saying that because my face is slim, it would probably look pretty if I did it, but that my nose was not one that absolutely needed cosmetic surgery lol I should have stopped then, but I couldn’t see anything else... But the reason I ended up removing the silicone and septal cartilage now, even though I didn’t have any inflammation, was... First, the biggest reason was that I have a sensitive personality.. Except when I was sleeping, all my attention went to my nose. I hated feeling a foreign-body sensation in my nose, and I spent all day looking at my nose, touching my nose, and feeling extremely stressed. Second, I felt like just one nose changed everything from my facial contours to my eyes. I wanted to look more mature, but it felt like I had aged a bit... Why did I try to find the answer there? haha So for about two months, I stressed over it and thought about it, then decided I had to remove it and had a consultation at the hospital where I had the surgery. The doctor asked if I really had to remove it, saying that later on it would probably feel comfortable like my own nose. Honestly, since there was no real problem, it does feel like a waste of money.. Still, my mental health is more important than my appearance (ㅠㅠ) So I said I really wanted to remove it, and I removed it!!!! I’m attaching photos too.

(After removal) To my eyes, I can clearly see that my nose became much lower, but people around me don’t really notice. My friend said that except for my nose looking smaller, they couldn’t really tell that anything had changed much..
Oh, and I also had it removed through an open approach, but the scar has already healed. This Friday, I’m going to get the internal stitches removed. hehe [This is not a review, just something I’m curious about] On the first day, when I touched the nasal tip, it felt soft, but now it has become slightly firm, as if septal cartilage were inserted. Is this a contraction phenomenon? It’ll become soft later, right??? Oh, and from reading posts here, I heard people take anti-contracture medication, but I didn’t receive anything except medication to take for about 4 days after surgery. Is that okay??
Do I absolutely have to stop smoking for one month even after implant removal?
