Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Silicone removal, day 15 review

I had only the silicone removed. The ear cartilage had been in two layers; one layer was removed, and the remaining layer was used to fill the nasal dorsum. AlloDerm was also placed on the nasal dorsum. What felt lumpy at the time was not scar tissue, but ear cartilage. If I touch over the lumpy ear cartilage on the nasal dorsum, the shaved-down area feels flat. You can’t tell just by looking, but depending on the lighting, the flat area shows. It feels like there is an uneven contour. And the nasal ala that had been deviated has come back a lot compared with the beginning, but it is still deviated to the right, and the right nostril also looks bigger. When I look at my nose from the left side, the swelling has gone down and there is a crease on the nasal ala, but when viewed from the right side, the nasal ala looks slightly taut, with no crease forming. The nasal dorsum no longer hurts even if I touch it, and the nasal tip has a foreign-body sensation. If I lightly sweep upward from both sides of the nasal dorsum toward the glabella, I feel a pulling sensation. Is this because of the AlloDerm.... I wonder if this feeling will get better with time..

Ha.... ㅜㅜ........ It doesn’t look like there’s any more swelling left to go down... The nasal alae are uneven, and the nasal tip is deviated too... Honestly, just at a glance, no one can tell.. But if you look closely, it shows. When I take photos, the deviated nasal tip is immediately noticeable. When I touch it, the areas where the ear cartilage was placed are bumpy, so I’m worried about what it will be like if all the swelling goes down.

The doctor said the surgery ended really satisfactorily, that he also did his best, and that I could now live without any particular worries, but haah............. I knew I wouldn’t be 100 percent satisfied. Still, I’m a bit upset..
