Hello :) This is my first time posting in this community... Not only my nose but also my eyes had bad results, so I really went through severe emotional distress. If I had known that a rash desire for cosmetic surgery at a young age would lead to this resultㅠㅠ I would not have done it at allㅠㅠ
About 3 months ago, I was debating whether to remove it or not, and whether there would be side effects or not, just like some of you. I’m writing this to be even a little bit of help to people who are worrying. I am absolutely not a broker or anything like that! I also don’t want to be misunderstood, so I won’t mention the clinic name in the post!
First, because I felt like I wanted to grasp at anything, I had an online consultation with a place where the surgery fee was cheap (I’m a student, so it was hard to get the money for surgery), and I learned that the methods for removing silicone, Silitex, and Gore-Tex are each slightly different. Unfortunately, the cheaper place only performed surgery on people whose nasal bridge had been raised with silicone alone, and there were no reviews from people like me whose nasal tip had been raised with ear cartilage, so I couldn’t have the removal surgery there.
Then I looked up many clinics online, and although they all explained the surgical methods in detail in writing, there were no surgical reviews. So while I was in despair, I found this community, practically lived in the nose removal posts, and came to trust a clinic that had many reviews and also wrote long consultation replies. Right after my consultation, I worked part-time like crazy and ended up having my nose removed on July 11. When I first came out after surgery, my nose was swollen like someone who had been stung by bees several times, and it had gotten lower, but should I say it looked very artificial?ㅠㅠ Of course, as time passed and the collected blood drained, it improved a lot, but once this problem was resolved, other flaws became visibleㅠㅠ The shape of my nostrils, the size of my nostril wings (before surgery, I had a nose with large nostril wings), the pinched shape, and so on stressed me out, but each time I asked the director questions and received answers, I regained stability.
Now I’m past 3 months and heading toward 4 months, but I still can’t make a pig nose, and my nasal tip is still hard. Some people may be very stressed about not being able to make a pig nose and about the still-hard nasal tip, but I’m just satisfied with having a natural nose, and since I was told that the scar tissue would fully soften around 6 months, I’m trusting that and waiting comfortably.
As I said earlier, I didn’t learn that much about the surgery called nose removal, so I don’t really know about side effects like contracture and so on, and I think I just spent each day thinking it would go well!!
I’m not good at writing, so I feel like I’ve just rambled on...ㅠㅠ I really hope you have it done somewhere with actual practical reviews, and everyone will do well!
