It’s already been 2 weeks since my rhinoplasty. Now it’s finally a bit easier to breathe, and daily life has gotten much better too. I had my hump nose corrected without implants, and the materials used were ear cartilage and septal cartilage. Honestly, the first few days after surgery were pretty uncomfortable. It was especially hardest when I had cotton packing inside my nose, and I realized for the first time how stuffy it is to breathe only through your mouth... I knew there would be a splint and cotton packing, but actually experiencing it was really stuffy and uncomfortableㅠㅠ From the second day after surgery, the swelling got worse and bruising spread under my eyes tooㅠ There was also a pulling sensation around the nostril wings, so I had to be careful when smiling or opening my mouth... Still, it wasn’t severely painful or sore. After the cotton was removed the next day, breathing became much easier, and after the splint was removed a week later, daily life became really comfortable! I think the uncomfortable part was really just the first week, which was the hardest point. Now I’m at week 2, so a lot of the swelling has gone down, but there’s still a slight heavy feeling left. Rather than a dramatically high and thin nose, I wanted something natural, with a moderately high and pretty nasal tip, and so far I’m quite satisfied! I’m excited and also a little worried about how it will look once more swelling goes down, but I don’t think there will be any major changes haha I’ll leave another update after a little more time passes!
