After my first nose surgery on August 30, I removed the silicone after only 6 days, and on the 3rd week and 2nd day after removing the silicone, I removed everything. Today is day 8, and it’ll soon be day 9.
During the nasal tip removal surgery, they asked me one more time. If I really wanted to remove it. The director had strongly tried to dissuade me from before the surgery. But I just hated having something inside my nose, so I told them to remove it right away. And when it was over, I asked if they could show me the cartilage, and the nurse said it’s prohibited at this hospitalㅜㅜ
Anyway, after removing it, when I touched my nasal tip it was soft, and the pulling sensation when rubbing my upper and lower lips together disappeared too. Right after surgery, I think the nasal tip removal definitely ached a bit more. But from day 5, it gradually started getting hard again. It must be scar tissue, rightㅜㅜ
And because it was done closed, they inserted and removed the silicone through the right side, and removed the cartilage and did everything there, so the right nasal tip swelled and only the right nostril sagged. They say this needs time.. Will it get better with time? There is swelling and scar tissue too, but could it also be because scar tissue formed at the incision area inside the nose? In this kind of case, what should I do?
Should I do warm compresses? Should I get a scar-tissue injection? Should I just wait?ㅜㅜㅜㅜ Could it possibly not come back?
Three nose surgeries in one month may be too much, but since I was going to remove it later anyway, before adhesions formed, I thought I should hurry and take it out. And I didn’t have the leeway to wait 6 months, and if the hospital had said they wouldn’t do it, ha.. just thinking about it is awful.. Anyway, right now I’m taking my medication diligently, and because the mucous membrane is swollen, I’m taking ENT medication.
Everyone, if you’ve decided you want removal, I think it’s better to remove it quickly. Hospitals all say to wait 6 months, but once adhesions form, removal is really hard.. Forcibly removing it causes more damage.. And above all, before removal, your mind isn’t at easeㅜㅜ
