Detailed surgery review I had two-jaw surgery + facial contouring at ㅇㅂㅇ Hospital. I think I had it last December. I think the surgery went wrong, and the more the swelling goes down, the more serious the condition becomes. It took me quite a long time to write this post. I thought deeply about how I should write the review and whether it was right to write one. **I failed, but** I received help from this community before surgery, so I’m writing my review too. I feel like the director at ㅇㅂㅇ only talked about the positive aspects while leaving out the areas of concern and worry. After hearing only those kinds of things, I think that’s why I decided on this hospital. In conclusion, during the preoperative consultation, regarding the type of case that should absolutely be avoided, they said that because my face was already quite large, **it was a face that could absolutely never become an inverted-triangle face**. After surgery, as time passes, **only one side is becoming an inverted-triangle face**, and the asymmetry is getting worse. The more weight I lose and the more the swelling goes down, the worse it gets. Now it has worsened to the point that I feel stressed every time I look in the mirror. Psychologically, I feel a very big shock and dissatisfaction. Also, one disappointing point was that the vice director and the director apparently divided up the surgery. No one ever told me, and I realized through CCTV that they had divided the surgery between them. **I felt a bit betrayed. There was no prior notice either...** I naturally thought the director would be in charge of performing my surgery. I do not know how much of the surgery the vice director performed and how much the director performed. I was also disappointed with the post-op consultation part at the hospital. I think it makes no sense that consultation with the director is only possible after 6 months. I think it is right to hear from the director who performed the surgery about what the surgical result is like, how the surgical result turned out, the recovery status, and so on. After surgery, I carefully brought up my biggest complaint, which was asymmetry. I think I asked and spoke as politely as possible. Since I lack professional knowledge, I wanted to discuss the problematic situation together and talk about ways to improve it. During the KakaoTalk hospital consultation and the consultation with the vice director, they spoke in a tone as if it was nothing serious, and it was only that because of swelling, it would get better with time. I really believed that and waited. When I first saw the 1-month CT scan, I thought it looked asymmetric even on the CT? Hmm? When I asked about this, I think they said it was an angle issue. I really believed that. I also wanted to hear a detailed explanation of what surgery was performed and how it was performed, but I still have not heard it accurately. They only explained it very roughly. At 3 months post-op, there were explanations I wanted to hear from the director, so I asked on KakaoTalk that I really wanted to see him, and after asking several times, I barely managed to meet the director who performed the surgery. I think I had expected a detailed consultation, but maybe he was busy; I think the consultation lasted about 10 minutes. I explained the parts I was dissatisfied with, but I think the result I heard was the same. The surgery went well. You originally had asymmetry. The asymmetry of the corners of your mouth was also originally there. So I searched through every photo I had taken since my school days. Since I was thin until a few years before surgery, fortunately I found photos where my face was not covered by fat. The asymmetry was not severe enough to stress me out (almost none), and there was no asymmetry in the corners of my mouth when I smiled. It felt like something had gone wrong, but they were not telling me. So I started searching YouTube and Naver and ended up getting consultations at other hospitals. I wondered what on earth I was doing. I think I trusted the hospital too much. The next consultation is at 6 months, but I don’t know how to work through this... But it looks like there is a left-right difference of **about 5 mm? or more**, and it is stressful enough that I can feel the asymmetry even in appearance. I absolutely don’t think I can live like this. I’m extremely stressed that one side of my jaw has become too feminine and turned into an inverted-triangle shape. The hospital has not properly explained improvement methods, so I’m stressed about how I can regain my previous appearance, and every day I search YouTube and Naver… I think I’m looking into reconstruction methods. But because the surgical limitations are still clear, I only feel extremely frustrated and sad... In conclusion, I regret having surgery at ㅇㅂㅇ Hospital, but the ㅇㅂㅇ that other people experienced may differ from what I felt, so ㅇㅂㅇ may be right for someone else. When choosing and selecting a hospital, I hope you choose carefully and pick a hospital that suits you.
