I had revision surgery because of nasal tip contracture. The nasal bridge was also slightly crooked. It was only an external issue; I did not have pain or any other discomfort, and since nose surgery is not something you can decide and proceed with overnight, I kept worrying and putting it off, and several years passed. I think the symptoms started appearing about 3 years ago. Last winter, at some point, it seemed like the shape was getting worse, so I was startled then, looked into revision surgery, and only now was able to have the surgery. It has currently been 2 weeks. Resolving the contracture was the basic goal, and because I had been very stressed about the appearance, I also had strong aesthetic expectations. I wanted improvement to a natural straight-to-slightly upturned nose line, and I did not like the nasal bridge either, so I hoped those areas would be improved. Because my original nasal bridge was low, I told them in advance that I did not think removing the existing silicone and going implant-free would work, so I consulted about replacing the implant. For this surgery, it was replaced with 3.5 mm silicone; I do not know the size of the previous silicone. The nasal tip is currently shaped with ear cartilage and septal cartilage. Since it has only been 2 weeks, I am being cautious about everything. Still, I believe the director performed the surgery safely and well, so I will wait while checking the progress.
