I was going to post a review after a month.. But my condition after surgery is so good... I might not come back to this community, so I’m posting a review..
I had surgery 7 years ago with silicone 2 mm? + ear cartilage + cartilage tying. The nasal tip was too pointy.. the nasal bridge showed clearly in an 11-shape.. and above all, it made me look older, so I decided to remove them haha I’m not the type to worry much, so I wasn’t worried at all about collapse, contraction, or capsular contracture.. It’s just that my nose had been really lowㅠㅠ so I felt a little sad thinking it would become low again lol But I thought it was better than looking obvious.. ha
I didn’t have the removal done at the place where I had my nose surgery.. I won’t reveal the clinic.
I had surgery on Saturday (8.9) under sedation, with a closed approach~ They left the cartilage tying and removed only the silicone and ear cartilage. After seeing the removed silicone, I asked the nurse how many millimeters it was, and she said she wasn’t sure.. I think it was roughly about 2 mm.. Something lower than I expected had been inserted, but it looked this obviousㅠㅜ Maybe it showed because my skin is thinㅠㅠ I brought the silicone home as a keepsake, but there’s blood on it, so I won’t upload a photo haha On the first day, as others said, when I touched the nasal bridge, it felt like a deflated balloon, and there was slight swelling too. The swelling peaked on the second and third days, then started going down from the fourth day, and there was a very slight yellow bruise.. On days 5 and 6, the swelling and bruising were gone enough that I didn’t need to wear a hat or sunglasses.. I can’t even feel the capsule.. I bought pumpkin juice... but I’m barely drinking it.... because there’s basically no swelling... And when I touch my nasal bridge, I can only feel bone.. but the bridge seems sli~ghtly higher than before my nose surgery,, I don’t really know why either..
For postoperative care, I did cold compresses on days 2 and 3, warm compresses on days 4 and 5, and from the day after surgery I went outside and walked around every day without fail haha I’m the type who can’t stay homeㅠㅠ I removed the tape they put on after surgery the next day.. I took the medication from the clinic regularly, and for the closed-incision scar area, I disinfected it every day and applied ointment haha
Right now my nasal tip still feels hard.. but I’m not really bothered by it, so I’m thinking it’ll get better someday haha As for contraction or capsular contracture, I’m like, if it comes, let it come.. I think it’ll go back anyway lol I’m leaving photos haha Now my mind feels at ease!! For those considering removal, don’t be too scared.. Don’t be too influenced by negative reviews, and I hope you think in a positive direction
