It’s been almost 6 months since I had bulbous nose + ear cartilage + hump reduction + silicone bridge surgery!! At first I went to the hospital really only planning to get bulbous nose surgery, but they said to shave down the slight hump and add a low silicone implant too, so I followed the doctor’s adviceㅠㅠ Instead, since I already had some bridge height, I asked them to put in the lowest one possible and make it look as natural as possible. For the first month, the swelling was so severe that every day felt like hell, and after 2 to 3 months I could clearly see the swelling going down, but the bridge getting too high, and especially the insanely high area between my eyes, caused me so much stress. A person’s whole image really changes with just their nose...ㅠㅠㅠ Even when I went to the hospital and said it was too high, they only told me to wait until all the swelling was gone, so I’ve been holding out for 6 months in real pain. And finally today I went in for a revision consultation. I only asked them to put it in low, so I didn’t even know how many millimeters they had used, but today I found out it was 3 mm and was really shocked... I definitely asked them to put in the lowest one, so it wouldn’t even showㅠㅠㅠ The doctor said I could either replace the silicone with a lower one, or remove the silicone entirely and do autologous fat grafting. At this point I really don’t need anything else, I just want it to look natural and not artificial, just like an ordinary person’s nose, and because of that I thought it would be better to remove the silicone, so I said I’d do fat grafting for now and booked the surgery date.. But when I got home and looked it up, I saw people saying fat grafting gets absorbed quickly and can also look very swollen, and there weren’t many recommendations for itㅠㅠ After reading that, my mind started wavering again... They said that after shaving down the hump, it would have become flatter, so trust the doctor once more, should I replace the silicone with a lower one, or should I give up on nose height, remove it for peace of mind, and do fat grafting instead.. The surgery is less than a week away, but I’m still tornㅜㅜ Is fat grafting really ineffective and not very good...? They said they’d leave the tip in place and do the fat grafting to match the tip... I really don’t want to be stressed about my nose anymoreㅠㅠㅠㅠIf I remove the silicone first, wouldn’t I at least be able to get away from the artificial-looking nose shape... What would you do, everyone?ㅜㅜ
