Hello! It has been 6 months since I had double jaw surgery + 2 types of facial contouring (cheekbones/square jaw) with Director Jeong Han-ul at Seoul Face 21. Originally, I was thinking about facial contouring, but since my lower jaw protruded a lot, I thought I wouldn’t be very satisfied with contouring alone, so I decided on double jaw surgery with the thought that if I was going to go through the hardship, I should properly become prettier. I had consultations at more than 5 places, and first of all, the sense of stability the consultant gave me was the biggest factor in my decision. I also liked that they showed me visually in 3D how much change would be needed to achieve the shape I wanted, which eased my worries. - Day of surgery It was my first time under general anesthesia, so I was scared, but I fell asleep quickly and have no memory. After the surgery ended, I was put in a wheelchair in a daze and moved to the hospital room bed. It was a kind of pain I was experiencing for the first time, so it felt disorienting,,, - Hospitalization period As the anesthesia wore off, it would hurt more, then get better after painkillers, and this repeated. Still, the nurse on duty cared for me really devotedly… I was so touched ㅜㅜㅜ - After discharge Putting in and taking out the wafer (fixation device) was a bit uncomfortable. For one month, I had to keep wearing it every day except when eating, so I took time off work and didn’t meet friends. The hospital had informed me about this in advance, and it was a month of endurance,,, ㅎㅎ - After one month I had expected that after one month I would be able to go out and the swelling would go down a lot, but the swelling was tighter and puffier than I thought, so I was very worried. What if this is the final look…. It was the typical worry after cosmetic surgery. - After three months I think from around three months after, I started feeling that it looked somewhat natural. Before that, it was a repeated cycle of being very swollen in the morning and the swelling going down in the evening ㅋㅋㅋ Still, when I took selfies, I felt good seeing my changed appearance, edited them, and posted them on Instagram ㅎㅎ From after three months, I went out with confidence and met people. - 6 months Now I think it has settled a lot like my own face. Since it’s gradually becoming more natural, I think it will keep becoming more natural even up to the 1-year mark! As my face became slimmer and the lower face became shorter, the cute and feminine feel really came alive, and taking photos and doing makeup has become quite fun… It really did hurt… But I have no regrets!!
