Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

It’s been 1 year since I had double jaw surgery for malocclusion and asymmetry!

Hello! I received orthodontic treatment at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for malocclusion and facial asymmetry, then underwent double jaw surgery and 3-part facial contouring surgery (cheekbones, square jaw, chin), and now I’ve finally entered my 1-year post-op mark!! The swelling from the double jaw and facial contouring surgery is all gone, and all sensation has returned! People who meet me for the first time have no idea I had double jaw surgery, and even if I say I did, they don’t believe it because it looks so natural! Because of my braces, my mouth still doesn’t close well, and when I smile or keep my mouth closed it can look a little awkward, but I’m planning to get the braces off soon, so I think it will become even more natural! Before, because of my jaw, I was reluctant to meet people and hated taking photos, but now I’m not afraid to meet new people and I’ve gained a lot of confidence! I often get compliments like my face is small, my nose seems prettier, and my impression has become gentler, so I’m feeling the importance of facial shape even more. Even though only my jaw changed, it seems to affect my whole face. My overall vibe has become softer and my facial features look more defined, so these days I keep thinking I’m glad I had double jaw surgery. Now I barely even remember the pain or discomfort after surgery, and I’m just much more satisfied with my natural-looking face. For those who are uncomfortable externally or functionally because of malocclusion, I really recommend doing it even a little earlier while you’re young.
