It’s been almost 3 years since I had nose surgery. It was done with a closed approach, through an incision in my right nostril, and only my nasal bridge was done. After the surgery, the doctor said that while doing the nasal bridge, he also slightly raised the nasal tip. And when I said my nostril wings were wide, he said he would remove some fat too. I heard that means they just tear out the fat, but when I looked in the mirror after the surgery, my right nostril wing looked pinched? It had a shadow and looked sunken in. It’s still like that now. I’m wondering if it’s because they removed too much fat on the right side, or if it’s because of scar tissue? from cutting the nostril.. And since April, my nose has swollen or become red 3 times, and it hurt when pressed. It hurt even if it was brushed against. I thought it might be a pimple, but it felt heavy.. like a foreign-body sensation, like inflammation, so I got injections and took medication, and the pain went away. This is the 3rd time now, and there’s a bulge protruding around the middle of the nasal dorsumㅠㅠ I can feel it when I touch it. Just looking at it, that area is slightly red. At the hospital, they said that because it keeps hurting repeatedly, it seems like inflammation, and told me to just remove it.... So I made an appointment for tomorrow and am planning to remove it.. They asked for 400,000 won. Is that cheap? I’m removing it at the hospital where I had the surgery.. And after removal, will it go back to my old nose? I heard that noses with scar tissue, wound contracture, or previous inflammation have a higher chance of contracture, but the hospital said that my nostrils aren’t very visible from the front, so even if it lifts a little it should be okay. But isn’t that just the hospital’s opinion... I’m scared I’ll get a piggy noseㅠㅠ And if I remove the silicone, the pinched part of my right nostril wing will still be the same.. Then will my nose become uneven..? Even at the hospital, they trail off and don’t explain in detail whether it’s because they removed more fat on that side or because scar tissue formed from the incision on the right side... They said they’ll remove it by making an incision on the right side again, and I’m scared scar tissue will form again and make it look even more pinched. Can’t it be turned back like the left nostril wing? I’m just frustrated because the hospital won’t properly tell me why it became like this. I’m okay with removing it and going back to a lower nose, but I’m scared my nose will become uneven and scared contracture might happen..
