I had been to many dental clinics because of malocclusion, and every place I went recommended surgery. Also, since having a protruding jaw had been a complex of mine for a long time, I decided to have surgery at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Among the hospitals I had visited, EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery was the only one with a very high Google rating, and I also saw many posts saying they provide good consultations. When I actually went for a consultation myself, everyone was very kind, and they explained all the issues and questions about my teeth so well that I decided on surgery right away. In the early stage after surgery, breathing was very uncomfortable, so I could not sleep well and really struggled. The pain was not severe, but the bruised feeling lasted a long time, which was quite frustrating. Still, maybe thanks to the nurses' meticulous care, breathing gradually became easier, and by around days 4-5, the pain had almost disappeared and I was getting more and more used to it. In week 2, there was swelling and stiffness in my jaw muscles, but the sense of freedom when I briefly removed the wafer felt really good. The soft foods allowed by the hospital were also a big comfort. From weeks 3-4, the swelling visibly went down, and I slowly started moving toward a regular diet. At 2-3 months, facial sensation had not fully returned yet, but since I could see the change in my appearance, my satisfaction increased, and people around me often said the surgery turned out well. By 4-5 months, the swelling had gone down a lot and sensation gradually returned, so I felt more comfortable. After 6 months passed, I could eat almost all foods, and chewing became possible without difficulty! Now at 9 months, I have started exercising again, and although I had many worries at first, now there is nothing uncomfortable, and I only hear people around me say the surgery turned out so well, so I always feel good!! I really think I made the right choice having surgery at EU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery!
