It’s already been 9 months since I had double-jaw surgery. I didn’t know time would go by this fast..ㅎ I think my recovery has gone that naturally and well too. Now, whenever I look in the mirror, I’m so used to this face that I wonder, was this originally my face? Before double-jaw surgery, my gums showed too much when I smiled, and my protruding mouth was a major complex. When taking photos, I always kept my mouth closed, and I was especially bothered by my side profile. First of all, my face has become so natural. People have no idea I had surgery. People meeting me for the first time just say my face is small and my proportions are good. Before, smiling was stressful, but now I can smile naturally, and I really like that. Especially my side profile has become really pretty. As my mouth moved inward, my jawline became softer, and my whole face feels more refined. In the past, when taking selfies, I was always busy finding the right angle, but now I feel confident taking pictures from any angle. My mouth opens well too, and I have no discomfort at all when speaking or eating. My sensation has almost all returned as well. There are still some areas where sensation is very slightly reduced, but it doesn’t interfere with daily life at all. The biggest change after double-jaw surgery is confidence. Before, I felt uncomfortable with people’s gazes and always felt like I was trying to hide something, but now I don’t have that anymore. I think I’ve actually come to love myself more. Looking back, it wasn’t an easy decision, but I think I really did the right thing. I think after 1 year and 2 years pass, I’ll look even more natural and feel even more satisfied than now~!ㅎㅎ
