First, the reason for revision surgery is that I had surgery at a large hospital N years ago, but the nasal tip drooped and the shape changed. You can tell if you look at the pre-op photos, right? The silicone also showed through, and the starting point was too high, it didn’t suit my face, wasn’t pretty, anyway, it just wasn’t good. For this revision, the most important thing was to make it harmonious with my face, keep the current nasal height as it is, and instead make the line softer with a straight-to-slightly-curved line. I went around to several hospitals famous for rhinoplasty. The place where I had my first surgery was a large one, and the exterior was flashy, and somehow the system also looked organized, so I was tempted, but,,,, from after the surgery, it was so hard to see the consultant who counseled me and the director who operated on me, and I didn’t feel like I was being cared for. So even if the scale was smaller, I wanted to have surgery at a responsible hospital. So during consultations, I paid a lot of attention to how well the director and consultant communicated, and things like how the staff responded when making reservations or inquiries (I consider all of that too, haha). And of course the most important thing is the director’s skill, but beyond that, I thought my preferred aesthetic and the director’s preferred aesthetic had to be the same, so I had surgery with a director whose opinions matched mine well. After removing the splint, when I first saw my new nose, there was swelling, but still, the pretty line stood out right away. Without feeling unsure about whether it went well, I had the feeling that it was a successㅋㅋㅋ After surgery, the only uncomfortable things are that it’s a bit hard because of nasal congestion, and that it’s a little firm, maybe because it’s autologous costal cartilage. But these are problems that will resolve with time, so I’m going to wait calmlyㅋㅋㅋ
