I don’t know what proportion of members in this community are men, or maybe I’m just being a bit overly sensitive, I don’t know. When I had my first surgery, I really thought about it a lot. But what I was worried about wasn’t surgical side effects or revision surgery, it was how people around me would look at me if they heard I had nose surgery. The girls around me get one thing or another done, but among groups of guys, it’s a little... lol How should I put it, it feels a bit awkward and embarrassing. Still, I had the surgery because the stress was quite severe. But when the silicone implant became crooked, it really stressed me out so much. I already had the label of having had nose surgery, and when the operated nose became uglier than my pre-surgery nose, it was incredibly stressful. Whether it was my first surgery or a revision, surgery was surgery anyway, so I felt I definitely had to get revision surgery. For my first surgery, I had it done without knowing anything, but maybe because I got burned once, I started looking for hospitals that are good at surgery and that many men go to. Also, I didn’t know during my first surgery, but while going to revision consultations, that’s when I found out I had rhinitis. Honestly, before then, I didn’t know it was uncomfortable. Anyway, I changed to a custom silicone implant and lifted the nasal tip using autologous costal cartilage. They said rhinitis surgery could be done at the same time while I was having surgery, so I scheduled it together.. Maybe because the hospital is large, I was able to get reimbursement through indemnity insurance for the rhinitis. Anyway, now the crookedness, drooping, and things like that are all resolved, and now that the rhinitis I didn’t know about is resolved, I think, ah, so this is what breathing is originally supposed to feel like. There was also the fact that I didn’t properly do aftercare during my first surgery, so during the revision I really took extremely good care of it, and maybe because of that, it has been holding up well so far.
