On 4/5, in the first time slot, I had 2 facial contouring procedures with front chin + square jaw contour shaving.
Before surgery, even though I’m a woman, to put it simply, I had a long face shape like B*n*d*ct C*mb*rb*tch.
Especially because my front chin was very long, among the seven places I went to for consultations, five suggested sandwich osteotomy or S-osteotomy or T-osteotomy and putting in screws.
I really disliked the idea of putting in screws, so I chose one of the two hospitals that suggested doing one-cut contour shaving without screws, and they shaved as much as 1 cm off my really long front chin.
At one hospital that suggested T-osteotomy, they said they could shave about 6-8 mm, but I ended up shaving 1 cm without even putting in screws, so I think I chose the hospital well.
Even though they shaved as much as 1 cm, it still doesn’t look short at all, so it really made me realize anew just how long my chin was before surgery.
I’m a scaredy-cat, so it took me about 5 years to decide on surgery. It’s still not certain because of swelling, but it seems the surgery went well, so I really think I did the right thing by getting it.
